The mother who was worried there wouldn't be enough people for her son to have a water balloon fight on his birthday had her wish granted when hundreds of people turned up to Camden Eubank's 10th birthday party on Monday.
"Best birthday ever, thank you," Camden said in video message on Facebook.
Camden Eubank has Apraxia of speech and has trouble making friends. All he wanted for his birthday was to have a water balloon fight.
"It's so unfair. There's just no one to invite to this party," Camden's mum Traci Eubank told ABC News. "How can I have a huge water balloon party with four or five kids?"
Ask and you shall receive.
The massive turnout came after Camden's mum sent an open invite out on Facebook to anyone with kids in the Roanoke, Virginia area that could help come and celebrate.
"To fulfil his 10th birthday wish of having a huge water balloon fight, I am extending an open invitation to anyone with kids that wants to come throw some water balloons with one awesome little boy," the Facebook invite read.
Hundreds of people turned up for what looked like a fantastic day.
ABC reports the party started with the local fire department hosing all the kids with a fire house. Then the real fun started with the ultimate water balloon fight.
After everyone was soaked, there was a six-tier cake, in the shape of a minion, and hotdogs for all.
Camden's grandmother, Kathryn Sowers said, "It was just a great party."
"There was a lot of people - about 300 to 400. He was just beside himself. He had the best time."
"I never expected the response that I got - I was just an upset mom venting. This was the birthday party of every little boys dream and you all made it happen for my little boy. We will never forget yesterday," Traci wrote on Facebook.
Judging by the response on Facbeook, Camden wasn't the only one that had a good time.
Catherine Bowman wrote: "Thank you so much for inviting us and everyone. It was so much fun and my 4-year old girl had a blast!!! I'll never forget that water balloon fight."
"We had a blast! Thanks for having us! Best party we've ever been to," wrote Becky Hollins.
As well as the great turnout, Camden was showered with cards and gifts from all over the world. Mattel even sent him a gift box of goodies, and the little boy was treated to his first concert seeing Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.
We think it's safe to say Camden had the best birthday ever, all thanks to the kindness of strangers.
