Mini Easter Basket Craft

These adorable Easter Baskets are so easy to make and don't require a lot of preparation - making them a perfect craft for an Easter Party, Playgroup or Classroom activity.

All the supplies will be easily sourced at your local craft store.

What you'll need

  • Paper Cupcake Cases
  • Two lengths of Lace Ribbon (we used 2 meters of each - Frill and Plain lace this made 9 in total
  • Shredded Fake Grass
  • Sticky tape
  • Double sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Easter chicks
  • Chocolate eggs

Cut one lace frill to measure the circumference of the top of the cupcake case. Cut a length from the other lace to make a handle, use these lengths as a guide to cut your remaining ribbon into the same lengths *as pictured.

Stick the double sided tape along the inside edge of the lace and remove the backing, then stick the frill around the top of the case.

Secure each end of the handle inside the cupcake case using sticky tape, fill with grass, the eggs and baby chick.

My five-year-old was able to construct them herself and she looks forward to giving them to her classmates and teachers. We think they would also look great with a yummy cupcake inside!
