Most parents are familiar with the tedious task of labelling your kids' belongings for school- and the frustration that often comes with it.

A mother in the UK has shared a hack for naming  kid's clothes for school, with parents calling the simple trick  'genius'.

Parents say they've saved time with the simple trick.

Posting in the Facebook group, Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas, the mum shared how she's cut down time spent labelling her kids' clothes

Rather than wasting time fiddling with an iron, she  uses a hair straightener to attach the label to the clothing, clamping the hot plates around the tag to fasten it.

Parents loved the idea, raving about the time saved.

"Whichever one of you gorgeous people suggested hair straighteners for name labels.... GENIUS!" one mum said, "all uniforms done in minutes."

"Love it," another parent commented enthusiastically.

Another added that the trick works on shoes too, after she successfully attached a label to the tongue of her son's sneakers.

Some parents added that it's important to make sure there is baking paper in between the hot plates and the label, to ensure the label doesn't  stick to the straightener.

"It works, but now my straighteners are ruined! How can I get this off?" One worried mother posted to the group, later updating to post to say she used baby wipes to get the remnants of the sticker off.
