Did you say you wanted a spud?

Riding on the coattails of their own musical success, Sesame Street have made a string of spoofs for kids based on popular adult TV shows.

If you love Mad Men, True Blood, Downton Abbey or Boardwalk Empire you might be having a hard time envisioning the characters of these hit shows on Sesame Street.

But while you’re mid-way through picturing your child watching Bill Compton in all his vampire glory, pause for a moment and watch the True Mud skit below and breathe a sigh of relief.

The makers of Sesame Street have not lost their minds but have managed to rework these shows for a much younger audience with an entertaining and educational result.

We’re sure you will enjoy them – maybe even more than your children.
