He may look like he has not aged a single day, but that won't stop Barbie's on again, off again partner Ken from celebrating his milestone birthday in style.
The iconic doll is turning the big 6-0 this week, and Mattel is celebration some of his most fashionable looks by releasing a special '60th anniversary range'.
Ken first made his appearance in 1961 as Barbie's male counterpart. Released two years after Barbie, he was named 'Kenneth Sean Carson' after the son of Mattel founders Ruth and Elliot Handler.
A man of many talents, Ken has enjoyed an impressive 40 careers since his debut, including a doctor (1963), pilot (1975), pro tennis player (1980), singer/rockstar (1991), photographer (2000), and lifeguard (2019) - not to mention his big screen debut in Toy Story 3.
Ken has also been the muse for designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Gareth Pugh, and Jeremy Scott. He even received a mid-life makeover in 2006 from celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch - who worked with celebrities such as Michael Jackson and River Phoenix.
To celebrate a few of these iconic looks, Mattel is re-releasing the 1961 Original Ken doll, 1984 Great Shape Ken doll and 1985 Rocker Derek doll, with each one wearing an updated version of the outfits they were famous for.

Ken is also more diverse than ever, the dolls now available in three body types, nine skin tones, 10 eye colours, 27 hair colours and 20 hairstyles
Ken's 60th anniversary range is available now nationally instore and online at Big W, Target and Kmart, and other specialty toy retailers.
