Recall: Aldi pool inflatables

Inflatable pool toys from Aldi are the subject of the latest recall issued by the ACCC. The toys have not been labelled correctly regarding appropriate supervision of children and can be returned for a full refund.

Crane Sports jumbo novelty inflatables shaped like a flying horse (Pegasus) or a flamingo

SKU Barcode: 26283937 PLU:55380

Date code: 10/2017

What are the defects?

The product labelling is not in accordance with the Consumer Protection Notice No. 2 of 2009 'Consumer Product Safety Standard for Flotation Toys and Aquatic Toys'. The products are missing the following warning: WARNING. AQUATIC TOY. USE ONLY UNDER SUPERVISION.

What are the hazards?

If children are not supervised while using the products, there is an increased risk of drowning.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should immediately stop using the products and return them to their nearest ALDI Store for a full refund.
