We recently asked our readers on Facebook what their favourite family holiday destinations were and here are the top 10 places to escape to with the family.
- Hands down the most popular family holiday destination for 2011 was FIJI. In particular, Sheraton and Treasure Island, Mana Island, Vaviti Resort, Tokoriki Island Resort, Mamanuca Islands and Fiji Radisson Resort.
- New Zealand for summer or winter - with the ski season being the most popular.
- Bali - something for everyone beyond the resorts.
- Hawaii – both Oahu and Maui Islands. A great family resort is the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Waikiki.
- California – for theme park attractions in LA - making it the ultimate kids playground.
- Phuket, Thailand in particular Holiday Inn.
- Pristine Vanuatu in the South Pacific.
- Gold Coast, Airlie Beach & Toowoomba are all equal favourites.
- Far South Coast NSW - in particular Jervis Bay & Merimbula.
- Great Ocean Road, Apollo Bay, Victoria.
