This medieval scene was created by Nicole of Kiddilicious Parties for her sons 6th birthday. With Nicole's attention to detail and fantastic inventiveness she has created a party fit for any King or Queen.

To set the scene Nicole lined the room with stone castle walls, hung flag bunting from the ceiling and laid a huge feast table with a range of delights: including pigs ears (vegie crackers) goblets of wine (Ribena juice) and the piste de resistance was an amazing pigs head cake.

As the children arrived, they were greeted with medieval music and crowned as royalty before heading off to play some medieval games. A jousting tournament was conducted with pool noodles, whilst archery proved a hit with both boys and girls. Other games included freeze dance and juggling.

Ready for lunch, the party guests sat eagerly at the table awaiting their feast! The pear cupcakes were cut open to reveal cake, which surprised most of the kids. They stuffed themselves, with chicken drumsticks, meatballs and blackbird pies, like any medieval King or Queen would, while talking about the new yet familiar party-food.

When lunch was over the kids were treated to a professional photo session and given props to pose with. As well as having their picture taken, the photographer let them take some shots of their own, a huge line emerged as the photographer showed each child how to line up the shot and press the button.
