In case you were wondering, keeping the romance alive after the baby is born is not just a myth – it’s a real thing, and I’ll help you make that happen! Just stay with me and you’ll turn into a true romance god afterwards. Keep on reading!

Even though keeping our marriage romantic and intimate after the baby was born was quite challenging, it actually made our love stronger than ever, which is exactly what matters most! My loving husband was kind enough to put me first and treat me extra well, even by his standards. Adjusting to a new lifestyle has negatively affected my confidence and self-image, particularly when it came to my postpartum body. I admit that I thought he will lose interest in intimacy because my body has changed and that he won’t feel the same way about me. For all the new new dads who may be reading this, here’s an advice: when that happens, the most important thing is to explain to your lovely wife that she’s never been more gorgeous, and that those changes made her body even more attractive. Show her that your love for her has changed, but in a good way – that you love her even more and that your bond is stronger than ever.

Another essential step is building romantic tradition, and I’m proud to say that we successfully mastered this one. It’s all about doing the small things that make a huge difference, and trust me when I say that these can actually help you increase the love you felt on your wedding day! First of all, we did our best to go to bed together – always, no matter how busy we are. The fact is that couples don’t have much time just for themselves, especially after the baby is born, but you must know that talking, cuddling, and laughing together are essential for maintaining a healthy relationship. That’s why bedtime is the perfect time to catch up with your loved one and spend some quality time together. Also, everyone likes surprises (the pleasant ones at least) – a romantic dinner for two complemented with the best scented candles is never a bad idea, so put your cooking skills to test and give your man a night to remember!

Last but certainly not least, keeping things fresh is of the utmost importance once the baby arrives. Some people would say that variety is the spice of life, and I can’t agree more with this claim! I was fortunate enough that my loving hubby successfully managed to find new, exciting ways to express his love, affection, and appreciation for me. Being valued and appreciated helped me reinforce a positive sense of self-worth. Buying flowers, even though it’s often perceived as a way of saying ‘sorry’ when something wrong was done, or exchanging small gifts can go a long way. So, why wouldn’t you be the one to smash the stereotype and be romantic just for the sake of being romantic? Apart from that, I learned that making our morning kiss a bit longer than usual can do wonders for our marriage and make things much more exciting – if you know what I mean. The same goes for putting your hands around each other at every available opportunity. It’s the small things that make a big difference, and these are usually free as well. It doesn’t get better than that!

As you can see, there are a lot of ways to keep the romance alive even after the baby is born, so feel free to stick to my tips and tricks if you want to make that happen. Trust me, success is guaranteed!
