Travelling to the Gold Coast with a 4 and half year old and a 16 month old, only have one day to see a theme park, which one would be best?
Seaworld or Dreamworld?
I guess just really for the 4 and half year old very active boy, the 16 month won't really know what is going on.

For my kids it would be, Dreamworld hands down. They like the adventure, over the animals. Also I think Seaworld is run down a bit.

We didn't go to dreamworld but did sea world and movie world with my 2 yr old and she loved sea world as lots of animal shows and there were about 3 rides she coulld go on. I think dreamworlds may have more rides (wiggles world) but not as many animals. I think your younger one would enjoy seeing the animals at sea world as well.

We have an annual pass to Dreamworld this year (had seaworld/movieworld last year) , Dreamworld have just finished a "new world" based around Madagascar , Shrek and kung fu panda , My kids loved this area , There is 4 or 5 rides in there , also they still have wiggles world. My kids loved the vintage cars which you all will be able to go on and there is a section with Australian wildlife.
Seaworld on the otherhand has less rides but better wildlife. The penguins , sharks and dolphins are great. My children who are 9 , 7 , 5 and 3 loved seeing the shows but got abit bored at times because there isn't heaps to do.

We go to Seaworld with our 16mth old and nearly 3 yr old. Both love it. They have dinosaur island at the moment which my DS1 said was too loud but he loved it! They also love the big aquarium with lots of fish and sharks. You can also touch the starfish in the shallow reef part. There are only a few kids rides but you can take both kids on some of them (carousel, dump trucks, planes). There is also the monrail and skyrail. Dolphin show was popular with kids but not the seal show (no idea why!).
Can't comment on dreamworld as we haven't taken the kids there yet. they'll have fun no matter which one you go too.

Last time I went (which was admittedly quite a long time ago now) both were brilliant. However I'd say I enjoyed DreamWorld slightly more
