After many failed attempts at embryo transfer via an egg donation, this was our lucky last shot with our last round of embryos. When we had the transfer, the Dr said that one of the embryos wasn't developing as fast as the others (at 5 day transfer) and thought it best to transfer all 3, due to the last transfer of 3 and none took.
To our surprise, I had my scan at 6 weeks and all 3 had stuck! I also adopted another sac in the process (that is empty), but we were told we have 2 very strong heart beats and one very faint. heart beat The Dr said unfortunately, he doesn't think it will make it and by the next scan (8 weeks, this Friday), he will be very surprised if it is still beating.
We are stoked to have come this far and have a pregnancy, especially after our difficult journey after I was diagnosed with POF (premature ovarian failure - early menopause) but to have multiples is an absolute blessing. Has anyone else had multiple pregnancy and lost one along the way? We are being really positive and hoping for the best and just very surprised that it managed this far, especially that we knew it may not make it.

Hi there and congratulations. Best of luck.
With our second set of twins we lost one at around 9 weeks. The baby was just reabsorbed so didn't.'t cause any problems physically with the pregnancy. Emotionally it was hard though. I gave birth to our gorgeous little girl, Grace 3 months ago.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. You both must be so excited and overwhelmed that it is actually happening.
I hope at your scan that you see three but if only two know there is an angel in heaven who just wanted to make it safer for you all.
Let us know how you go and congrats once again. Hope you don't get morning sickness...if anything when I was preg with twins I just got hungrier! LOL!

We were told if you lose one before 12 (or was it 15?) weeks the doctors normally consider the other will survive but with a loss after 19 weeks there is a very low chance of survival for the remaining baby. That is with MCDA twins, so I'm not sure what type your triplets are.
I hope you have positive news at your scan and can go on to have a happy pregnancy. Enjoy!
