Thanks for putting the list in spitz mum!!

Watching one born every minute I taped the other night while DS goes down for his nap. I always get tears when the babies are born! Can't believe that will be me in around 20wks!

Hi Spitzmum can you change my info to having a girl please original.gif

Spitzmum - thanks for the list! So handy!
Blubird84 - yay for a little girl!  original.gif
*shirleytemple* - I cry on those shows too! Or anytime there is a newborn on TV. I feel like time is going very quickly this pregnancy...not sure if it's because I'm so busy chasing a toddler around this time.

I'm doing Pre natal yoga and loving it! I'm also walking everyday. What exercise are the other mums and mums-to-be doing?

I'll update the list tonight for the new details on boys and girls original.gif

I'm about to start pre-natal yoga on Saturday - can't wait!  I wish I could walk more - I've strained my glute (the butt muscle) and also the tendon that connects the muscle to the hip bone - so I'm not very mobile sad.gif

I've been thinking of trying swimming - anyone doing that?

I have just discovered they do pregnancy aqua aerobics where DS has just started his swimming lessons so I am starting on Monday night. At least its still warm enough up here for that!

Hi everyone,

I'm due 10th Jan - finding out the sex at my 20 wk scan on the 27th, I can't wait!
I actually feel like the pregnancy is taking ages, the painful waiting for scans and waiting to see if everything is ok was so dragged out!

I saw an excellent pre-natal exercise lady who gave me a great routine to do at home.
http://glowingexpectations.com.au/ - Rachel is excellent, and does group classes as well. I'm lucky to get home form work before 6.30 most days, so having something I can do in 20 mins suits me. I try and walk ion the weekends, and am starting pre-natal yoga this sunday at yogamama in clovelly - does anyone else go there?

Also found a pre-natal masage therapist who is coming to my home this weekend - she sounds fab, i'll let you know how it goes

Good luck everyone

Hey everyone,
I'm due 28th Jan and my week 20 scan is on the 6th of September - which seems sooooooooo far away!! We will hopefully be finding out as DH is very keen to know and 'be prepared'. As this is our first child I feel 'preparation' is probably more a state of mind than an actual possibility original.gif

I have started pilates in the last week and I think it will be great - I'm really looking forward to it as I feel very lazy and fatigued recently.

Glad to hear people's good news after their scans and I am a little jealous I still have have so long to wait original.gif

Enjoy your weekends!

Hi Everyone

I had my 20 week scan on friday and bub is spot on dates and all perfect. Definately, a boy, so three boys for me original.gif I've already started 'nesting' and pulled out all the baby clothes to sort and started moving furniture around, we also got two new built-in wardrobes so it's all go here to get ready before I get too big!

I've been watching one born every minute too, love it, I cry everytime they deliver a baby!

I've done aqua mums classes both previous pregnancies and it cures every ache and pain. It feels so good and really does wonders for my body. I probably won't get to do it this time as days/time don't suit but I get in the pool with the boys for their swim classes so I find that still helps! Just have to watch out for those kicking legs and not just that of my boys! original.gif

Good luck for all the upcoming scans.

eleven - it's on SBS @ 9:30pm thursdays (Brisbane - not sure about interstate). You can also watch the previous episode online via SBS on demand. I have a good cry every episode original.gif Although, I prefer the UK series to the US series but it's still good to watch.

Hi all!
It's been a little while since I've commented but I have been following up on here, but mainly I've been on the Facebook group!

Prenatal exercise wise, I've been doing 45min power walks when I can, but I'm in full time hospitality, from 6am on my feet all day and do 50+ hour weeks so I've been lacking energy by the time I get home. I do some prenatal yoga classes but prefer pregnancy Pilates as I feel I get more of a work out! Im use to doing more extrenuous exercise (rock climbing, mountain biking and Bikram yoga) none of which I'm allowed to do now, so I'm really missing it!

Tuesday is the day that we have our anomaly scan and hopefully find out bubba's gender!! I've been counting down for this day since the 12wk NT scan! I can't wait to see how much our little treasure has grown original.gif

Hope everyone has a great weekend original.gif

Good to read people are doing well in general original.gif  And I'll update the EDDs etc with boys/girls later tonight original.gif

Bought our cot, change table and mattress yesterday original.gif  The Tasman Eco Siena.  Now I just need to find something to hold all the toys we already have (from mine and DH's childhood that were saved - though some may have to be chucked because they are probably not considered safe anymore!)

So now only little things left to buy - sheet sets etc.  I won't buy any clothes, bibs or wraps as I'm sure we'll get lots as gifts from our families.

I was surprised at the sheet sets - 200 thread count was the max.  Hopefully we can find something nice and soft at the baby expo next month (bamboo would be nice or 1000 TC)

So exciting to hear about everyone's 20 week scans! Hard to believe we are half way (or getting close to it for some). I go for mine Tuesday original.gif

I also have been watching One Born Every Minute. One episode a week on SBS hasn't been enough though, so I've been downloading the UK version. lol And yeah, I also cry every time those babies come out! Especially when I see the mums and dads cry too - it's all so special and amazing biggrin.gif When I was a nursing student I witnessed a live natural birth and 2 C-sections, and I stood there fighting back tears as well. lol Wasn't going to cry in front of all of those nurses and doctors Tounge1.gif haha

I am in Melbourne until tomorrow night so I am looking forward to going shopping and looking at baby things hehe. Glad you are all well original.gif

Hows everyone going? In regards to exercise I've been really lazy trying to go for a walk everyday and doing my pelvic floor exercises but that's as far as I've gotten. I had a look into aquamums, prenatal yoga and Pilates but its so hard as I do shift work I can't go every week

Spitz mum- wish i could not buy clothes until after bub is born and we see what people give us but I just can't help myself lol  baby expo here isn't until October sad.gif I can't wait

Sarahbn87- oh I watch one born every minute very week I'm home it's so good original.gif can't wait until we get the Internet sorted out so I can download the UK version

Jamiebaby- enjoy your shopping Melbourne is great original.gif

AFM- haven't been up to much having really bad back pain so loving my heat pack atm DP and I went to the movies and saw Batman last night to celebrate being halfway original.gif

JamieBaby - you're on the list original.gif  I still read the EDD thread - but I was away in the US on holidays for 6 wks so it didn't get updated original.gif

buzz - have you thought about seeing a chiro or osteo for the back pain?

AFM, Baby Bunting screwed up our cot purchase - parts were missing and the 2 bed ends were the same, instead of mirror - took it back and they replaced it with one that had all the parts.  I made DH put it together to be sure laugh.gif  Now I'm sure I'll make him move the furniture around the nursery a few times to figure out the layout original.gif

#22 A&J+

Posted 19 August 2012 - 08:12 PM

Spitzmum- Thank you original.gif I was not sure if anyone read it anymore as I came in here rather late compaired to a lot of you. I hope you had a good time in the US I would love to go over seas for a holiday biggrin.gif maybe when the kids are older hehe.

AFM I still didn't buy anything for bub today I couldn't find any thing that could do either a boy or a girl that I liked sad.gif and I couldn't pick out any big things as DP was not with me to have a look sad.gif o well still have tomorrow hehe

Good Morning Everyone!

spitzmum - glad they were able to sort out your cot ASAP! Have fun rearranging the nursery! I saw some gorgeous bamboo sheet sets at our baby markets, not sure about the thread count though.

buzz - I know what you mean about the exercise, I'm only able to do it now because DH has changed from shiftwork to normal hours, so he can mind DS. Hope your back feels better soon!

Jamiebaby - how did the rest of your time in Melbourne go?

sarahbn - good luck tomorrow!! Are you finding out the gender?

Mumlucky3 - Good luck with the scan tomorrow!! Can't wait to hear whether its a boy or girl! Do you have a hunch either way?

bub79 - congrats on your little blue bundle!! How are you going with names?

Lissy - being prepared is definitely a state of mind as your whole word will turn upside down (in a good way!) Your scan will be here before you know it!

mrsmcb - in house massage - so jealous!!

klks - Congrats on your little girl!! Have fun shopping!!

spottydog - Thanks for the reassurance. I think the technician just wanted to get me back as it was 5pm and she didn't have time for me to try to get bubs to move. Still a bit nervous though, but will know later this week.

eleven - Yay on feeling bubs move, any more movements?

jazzygal - good luck with the scan tomorrow? Any thoughts on whether its going to be a boy or girl?

AFM - start my pregnancy aqua aerobics tonight, so quite excited about that! Had a quite busy weekend around the house, think nesting is kicking in a little early this time!! Went to the bump and bubs markets up here and saw lots of gorgeous things, which seriously made me wish I knew the sex! I could find out on my follow up scan and not tell DH, but I know that I couldn't do it. Bit nervous about the scan, hoping bubs cooperates, and we get the all clear. Only a few more days to wait.

Hope you are all having a good start to the week!

ShirleyTemple and all the other ladies swimming - where was a good place to buy a maternity cossie?  I've seen lots of fancy boutiques online but none seem very practical if you're *actually* swimming rather than just lounging around
