I am looking to join a playgroup for my 2 girls.. Have never been to a playgroup before so after looking on the net with different information depending on where you look just after some recommendations for the above areas.
And what is involved for these specific playgroups, such as fees and if you have to book, any other group specific information?
many thanks

There is one (called JJ's) at 10am on Thursday mornings at St James, run by the church, not Playgroups Australia. You can contact them beforehand, but you would also be welcomed if you just turned up. If you decide to come regularly, it's $10 per term. Format is usually free play, then kids are given a snack, then story/song time, then a craft activity. The last JJ's day of each term is usually held at a local park instead of the church hall.

Thanks aratiaw,
Can you please tell me where St James is? I am new to the area and sounds like this has a good format (would really like my girls to get involved ASAP)

Sorry I didn't check back here until now.
It's at St James Anglican Church, St James Lane, Turramurra. Just off Eastern Road, not far from the shops/station.
If you tell me which direction you'd be coming from, I can give you directions original.gif.

I am coming from Warrawee, I do know eastern road as I take my girls to Campbell park?? I think that is what it is called just around the corner from shops at Turramurra.
I am going to try and get there for this Thursday.
Thanks again.

Great original.gif
St James Lane is one way, so enter at the Cherry St end and park in the church car park.

There is also one at St Paul's Anglican church - Pearces corner, corner of pacific highway and Cumberland highway at wahroonga.  I think it's Monday mornings.

I don't live too far from where you've moved to so feel free to message me if I can help you.

Also perhaps Google the playgroups nsw website - you can locate groups in your area.  I tried 2 before I found the one I joined - important to find one with girls you click with, also that you're happy with the facilities, shade, etc.

I will be moving to the pymble area soon - wondering how to find a mothers group or playgroup. My daughter is 3 months old.
