Opening Ceremony

We had fun watching it here - missed the very beginning because of the early start, and the end because of the school run, but the middle was lovely!  I'd sum it up as being not quite as fun as the Olympics opening ceremony, but definitely more beautiful/aesthetic.

Oh poo! Me either... and I'm guessing that the repellent Mr McGuire wasn't commentating this one either which would have quadrupled my enjoyment factor as well.

Adam Hills and a couple of others did the commentary.  It was better than Eddie's, by a factor of about a million, but it was slightly dodgy while the athletes were walking in.

ABC1 is showing highlights from the ceremony at 6pm.  I don't know if there will be a full replay - I can't find any mention of one.

I didnt get to see much  but I teared up.
Never though I would have a child who would be able to participate in one. But I do know he is capable of anything!

The whole thing is up on iView, but I don't think it's being repeated on the telly.
