BBL when DS is napping for personals

#3 *Mumma-to-A*

Posted 03 September 2012 - 12:16 PM

Bex - We don't have a list. This pregnancy has gone faster than the first one but it helps that DS was at school part-time so I kinda count down the trimesters by terms instead. I know this baby will be born before the next school holidays and there is only 4 weeks of school left. I had a scan at 6 weeks 5 days due to the spotting I was having - I wasn't planning on getting a dating scan it just worked out that way. Good luck with your scan and the move.

Duck - Thanks nothing has happened yet from the s&s though. Pregnancy does suck even if it is as much as we wanted it so bad. It will be worth it.

Nurserobin - Are you going to share what the baby is when you find out or keep it a secret? I hope you feel better for your holiday I went to bali at 9-10 weeks but so long as I nibbled something regularly and drink lots I was ok. My mum paid $6 for some arnotts cheese crackers for me and they were so good to live on.

AFM - Nothing from the s&S. I already have started with daily texts and phone calls (and I'm already over it) DH is working all week about 1.5 hours from home so has asked me to wait till the weekend - I very much snapped his head off then I felt bad because he hasn't worked much in 2 weeks. I have a chrio appointment today and see the OB tomorrow for another s&s and see when we will book in an induction (OB will only let me go 1 week over my due date) I know my body is only going to go into labour when it's ready but I so over being pregnant.

Hi Ladies.
Been having internet issues hence the delay but finally announcing the arrival of Jack Henry W.
Born Friday 24th August 2012 at 6.10pm
Weight 3.54kg
Height: 52cm
Had an induction, waters broken, on drip to start labour, epidural all in all was a great  tongue.gif experience, in many ways found this birth much more intense knowing what it was all about and at the same time it felt so new.

Some pics of bubs:

and for a flashback to DD Georgia biggrin.gif

I can safely say my kiddies sure look alike  wink.gif

OK now need to go back and read over the pages to see all that I missed. Hope you are all doing well bbighug.gif

Wow Mrs Marti Congrats! Certainly could pass both kids off for twins! So cute hope you are all doing well.

AFM: Still plodding along here not much to report.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

msmarti - Congratulations on the arrival of Jack Henry - he is gorgeous!! They definitely look alike! How is your DD going with her new baby brother?

Mumma to A - How did you go with the Ob yesterday? Another S&S? Hope you are too busy having a baby to reply to this!

bex - I had my dating scan around 7 wks I think? How is your sister going? My MS kicked in at 6wks this time too, earlier than it did with DS. Hope its stay is short for you!

duck - how are you going lovely? I found this pregnancy harder in the early stages too. Doesn't help we have little energiser bunnies to chase around! Hope your energy burst comes early.

nurserobin - how are you going? How is the MS? Hope its easing up for you. STarting to get excited about your hols?

AFM - Just plodding along here. Can't believe only last week I was dreading the worst! Never want to go through that stress again. It took DH a while to get over it, longer than I did.

Enjoying my aqua aerobics classes. The girls catch up each week as well, so its nice to start making some new friends, as we are all due over the next 3-4 months. I really miss all my friends from Perth and all the bubs from mother's group, so its nice to start socialising again. Its funny though, as they are mostly first time mums, so are asking me a gazillion questions. I'm no expert!! Don't think I would be even after 10 kids!

DH felt bubs move for the first time on the weekend which was really special. He missed a lot of that with DS as he was on deployment. So glad he doesn't go away anymore! Bubs is getting stronger and stronger with the kicks and a lot more frequent. Sure lets me know if I eat anything like chocolate or a cold drink!

My next Ob appt is next Monday, should be getting the referral for my glucose testing etc. Hoping my iron levels are ok - I've been taking supplements from the start this time, on top of my pregnancy ones, as I ended up with iron injections and taking liquid iron for the last trimester with DS.

Yay!!!!! Congrats to you ms-marti! ddance.gif eexcite.gif

What a cutie, and so much hair! I love the pic of him peeking over your shoulder. Max shares his birthday and had nearly the same stats too! Hope you're getting some rest and enjoying lots of cuddles original.gif

Just a quick one, still cruising through MS hell, and DS has brought home a cold from daycare. Can you feel the love  glare.gif  Docs still aren't happy with my progesterone, so still getting lots of blood tests and monitoring. Can't wait 'til they give me the green light to go off and enjoy being pregnant without the constant fear of my body failing me sad.gif Anyways, still can't help feeling incredibly fortunate to be here biggrin.gif Work has given me the green light to work past my 6 month contract and to come back after mat leave, yay!

Just thought I'd update, my progesterone levels are up! biggrin.gif Hopefully my body is starting to make it on its own.

Hope everyone is happy and well, have a lovely weekend original.gif

Duck - Yay! Thats great news.

Shirley - My iron levels have been low too this time so have been trying to remember to take the tablets. I am shocking though I think I need a sticker chart for myself to remember. Lovely for your Dh to feel the movements this time. I hope you make a few new friends at aquanatal classes.

Clm - Hi original.gif Keep plodding along.

Ms-Marti - Congratulations and welcome to the world Jack! That could have been the same photo shoot of your kids. Adorable

Jess - I hope you are doing well! Busy with study?

AFM - Still going. I had my third s&S on thursday (2cm still streached to 3, bub is about 2/5th engaged) and started to lose my plug (alot of it over 24 hours) I had prelabour pains early friday but they died off again and then nothing since. I saw my chiro who said everything is looking good and he thinks baby is right and ready now to come out. I have yet again another s&s today at the hospital at 3 so hope this s&s might do the trick. I'm trying every induction trick there is.

My OB has booked my induction for the 17th which is only 5 days after my due date (will have s&s on tues and fri also) but my mum has to go have an op on her knee which is urgent and they have booked it for the same day. She is so upset that she might miss the birth that I'm going to ask to change it to later in the week. I just hope the s&s start something and I won't need her to worry.

Just popping in quickly, will try for personals tOmorrow. We moved on Friday, nightmare! House a mess, rubbish and junk, house filthy, all curtains removed. So tired now, fatigue hit me sat, exactly 7 weeks, not sure if it is a coincidence as we were moving cleaning etc? Still feeling sick most days, was a pattern of every thee day, but has been everyday since Saturday. Scan on thur, I will be 7 weeks 5 days, looking forward to seeing that little heartbeat - all the tiredness and sickness (and acne) is all worth it original.gif

Good Afternoon Everyone!

24 weeks today!! Its V-day!

Bex - Yay on a good dating scan, so happy for you!! Good luck with all the unpacking/moving/cleaning, not jealous of you at all! Hope the fatigue steers clear soon!

mumma-to-A - Hope all those S&S's worked and you are enjoying some baby cuddles right now! Looking forward to seeing some pics!

duck - yay on the progesterone results! Have they taken you off the supplements? How are you feeling?

AFM - GTT is tomorrow, yuck! Doing it a bit early as the Ob wants my results back before my next appt in Oct and I want to do it on a wkend so I don't have to drag DS along. I should probably just do it in Perth, but don't want to ruin my hols! Checking my iron and thyroid etc as well, I've really started to feel tired this week, so hope that isn't my iron levels bottoming out.

Took DS for a speech therapy assessment this week. He is 22 months and a non talker (says mum & dad). Communicates mostly through grunts, pointing, sign language etc. Was really glad I listened to the nagging voice inside, as he is quite behind for his age. The therapist didn't quite say it this way, but I think part of the problem is that I respond to all his non-verbal gestures quite easily, so he is less motivated to talk even though we are doing all the right things with him. Cheeky little monkey! So starting off with some activities at home and will go back in a little while to see how he is progressing.

Getting quite excited about my holiday to Perth! Two whole weeks down there with DS while DH is away. Can't wait to catch up with all of my friends and all of the new bubs. Have missed everyone quite badly, especially my bestie. Her DS just had his tonsils/adenoids out and I felt really terrible that I couldn't really do anything to help!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Waters broke at 5.30am Wednesday on my due day. Our baby girl Holly arrived at 9.39am Thursday 13th September via emergency csection due to fetal distress and myself developing a fever of over 40 degrees. I wouldn't change anything for the world and i am totally in love with my baby girl. Will update on full birth story once I'm home.

Still can't decide on a middle name yet.

Congratulations Mumma-to-A! ddance.gif eexcite.gif Holly is a beautiful name! Sorry you had to go through the emergency cs business, wishing you a speedy recovery original.gif

Bex, fantastic news! No suprises you're tired considering the moving etc, my fatigue is starting to ease, hope yours does soon too.

ShirleyTemple, GTT eeeeew. Good luck with it, and good luck with the speech activities at home.

Blood test yesterday, progesterone is steady so they've taken me off the supplements, hooray! I have my next scan in just over a weeks time, I can't wait.

Pulled out all the baby stuff out of the shed today. I know it's still early, but i couldn't help myself! I figure I'll be working right up to a week before my CS date, I may as well start getting organised little bits at a time.

Hope you're all well original.gif

First of all, belated congrats to Ms-Marti and Mumma-to-A!! Glad you're on the other side of that and got your beautiful babies. Ms Marti, I did check out the photos, your babies do look really similar! Mumma to A - sorry you had to have emergency C/S but I always think in the end who cares, it's good just to get them out healthy and you can recover now.

Bex - 8 weeks is a good milestone! You're well on the way to 12 weeks now original.gif So happy for you! Isn't it awesome to be on the other side of that TTC with all the numbers and negativity by Drs? It will fade into the background now, you're just pregnant like everyone else. I do tell people that it took a long time though because I am due at Xmas everyone thinks I am insane so I have to justify my EDD by saying I almost didn't get a baby at all so I don't care what day she is born (even though I do a little bit).

Duck - awesome that you can get off the progesterone and that you are progressing nicely.

Shirley Temple - V-Day haha! I met a little girl the other day born at 23 weeks who was totally fine, just a little small so it is possible.

AFM - the weeks are dragging, getting more uncomfy but DD is sleeping awesome so I'm managing to still sleep OK. The minimum I can leave work is 34 weeks so I'm going to do that so I can hang out with DD more, do girly things and go swimming before the baby comes. Baby is heads up, under my ribs, and feels exactly like DD so I think it's going to be her little twinnie. BFF is due tomorrow so at least I'll have a baby to play with! Finally won a sling wrap on ebay, got a second hand swing and ordered some unecessary but very pretty nappies so that's all really, another girl so don't need anything new, just her own teddy that I'm going to get off a friend's sister who makes them. 13.5 weeks to go, unless she is early which would be awesome, like, not Xmas Day!

Hi ladies, once again I have been MIA ... So much has happened in here!
Firstly sending the biggest congratulations to Ms-Marti and Mumma-to-A on the safe arrivals of Jack and Holly !
Bex I am thrilled that your dating scan went excellent and your due about 2 months after me ! So exciting I hope your feeling better soon
Shirley temple- good luck with your GTT how did your sons speech review go? I think the best thing we can do to help with speech is to talk like adults to them, no baby talk if you know what I mean. I'm sure he will pick up with his speech so quickly you soon will be like oh please ssshhh up.
Duck-o-LAh - how was your last scan ? How exciting is getting out little people's things again ? It's so much fun! Great news your off your progesterone sups as well.
Bellefin- bring on 34 weeks for you and I that's when I plan to finish up as well! It will be nice to enjoy some time with your DD before another little princess arrives !
Clm1982- congrats on your newest family addition ! How exciting only 2 weeks till we will both know pink or blue I cannot wait either.

Well me, I am 18 weeks this weekend still extremely nauseated but can keep food and water down much more easily, still need daily zofran to get me through. I still haven't gained any weight yet but starting to see a little bump and can feel he or she moving which is reassuring. I have my ob apt this Thursday can't wait to see how baby is growing, I love the fact he has a scanner every time I go there, then the following Monday I have a proper 20 week scan and hope to find out pink or blue. We have decided If people ask us we will tell them boy or girl no point in secrets, my mil doesn't want to know and has made it very clear we can't tell her! We will see though wink.gif then we leave for Hawaii on the 5th till the 21st oct !! Yippee anyhow enough about me . I will come back soon with my pink or blue announcement take care all

Hi lovelies!!!!! Sorry I've been so quiet, been busy busy busy this term and only just going on hols for 2 weeks now!!! Plus between trying to work I've been trying to sleep as I've been so tired - not sure how I'll go for the first 5 weeks of next term plus HSC marking but you gotta do what you gotta do hey!!!
Congrats to Bex for your BFP!!!! And also to Mumma to A and ms marti for your lovely bubs - ahhhh part of me feels like its coming up quickly, but another part feels jealous that you already have your bubs in your arms.
Apart from being tired and busy, I've been trucking along really well. My pelvis isn't liking the bloody relaxin hormone at the moment and if I don't sleep with a pillow between my legs, I know about it the next day! Doesn't help that I have to walk up and down a flint of steps at work in between the staff room and classes all day... Thank goodness for 2 weeks break of that!
Hearing how a lot of you are getting things organised nice and early is making me feel a bit behind!!! I remember last time at 30 weeks I had a lot more organised and I'm coming up to 30 in a few days and this bub's room is still a messy office!!! At least we've got the cat's kitty litter happening in the bathroom now, rather than the office which will be the baby's room. Gee our house is going to be squishy with 4 people in it...
Anyway, I'll try to come in here and update again with some pics next week as I'm being a patient model for some trainee sonographers on Sunday so I should get a few pics to take home! Woo!
Hope everyone is going well and those with MS aren't suffering too badly. Who's our next bubby to emerge?

#22 Duck-o-lah

Hi ladies!

Bellefin has your BFF had her bub yet? Hope you're not too uncomfortable and still getting a good sleep.

clm, yay just over a week to your morph scan! I've got a way to go and I can't wait to find out either!

nurserobin, it IS so much fun getting the little itty bitty outfits out again original.gif I haven't pulled them out properly to wash etc, I can barely keep up with our washing as it is laughing2.gif I remember when we found out DS was a boy I had an aunt who didn't want to know, we were really good keeping the secret until my baby shower. Hope you can keep the secret from you MIL. Hawaii?!?! Jealous much wink.gif Hope you're feeling ok.

aurora sleeping, I hear you on the stairs, I'm already struggling with my stairs at work! Hope you enjoy your hols.

Well had my 12w scan this morning. First thing I looked for the little heartbeat, and there it was flashing away, YAY! Here (he?) is...

As soon as I saw it I thought 'that's a boy'. Don't know why, but I remember thinking the same with DS at his 12w scan. I showed DS the pictures and explained to him that it was his baby brother or sister, and it was in my belly. He is adamant that it is a little brother, and he is also quite certain there is a big baby in his belly too.

Hope you're all travelling well original.gif

Haha Duck i had the same thing happen to me after my 11 week bleed i had my scan at the OB's office and up until then i thought girl but as soon as i saw that screen i thought thats a boy not sure why. I also keep saying him, DD says its a sister though so will see what happens in 1.5 weeks! Are you going to take your DS to your morph scan, i decided to take DD just so she can see baby in my tummy and get a feel for whats about to happen, if she gets too much DH is going to take her out the room. Cant believe your 12 weeks already that is an awesome photo by the way!

AFM: Nothing much happening here, getting full on kicks every day now, still havent quite felt it on the outside yet tummy is starting to expand look about the same as 20-22 weeks with DD. Finally getting over the tiredness and getting my appeite back. Started to get a few Braxton Hicks the other day which were a bit annoying.

Hope everyone else is well.

Hi ladies,

Just a quick pop in to let you know we are expecting a healthy baby BOY bbluestork.gif Measuring a few days ahead and all looked good so we are thrilled.
Unfortunately both myself and dh lost a grandparent on the weekend so we both Have mixed emotions as the last thing we thought we would be doing is going to 2 funerals before we go to Hawaii on Friday so it's very sad.
Duck fabulous news and great ultrasound picture glad it went well....Clm1982 how was your scan ?
Take care care and be coming in soon... Who is the next to have their baby ? Hmmm

Hi guys, sorry have been MIA the last few weeks, we have been on holiday.
I just need to ask something quickly, I am nearly 11 weeks but have been getting a funny feeling in my lower tummy, it's not really cramping, but more like that icky feeling you get before AF is about to show up, does that make sense? Did anyone else have that?
