Hi everyone,

We have an appointment with a new fertility specialist at the same clinic as our fs no longer works there on the 25th of this month. I am really hoping to have a FET in October and I am just curious if others were able to start treatment as soon as they were ready or did you have to have any tests etc first?

Also I use to have to be put to sleep to have transfers done as my uterus curves so far around that it almost makes a circle closing off the opening to my uterus and was never able to be done while I was awake. Do you think this could have changed after being pregnant with twins?

Thank you in advance original.gif

I have a 9 month old daughter, and started TTC again when she was 6 months.  I just continued with the same protocol as before, and didn't have to do any more tests.  I just had to stop breastfeeding.  Two cycles later still had no luck.  Will try one more time, and then just be happy with our little princess - she is more than enough.

My FS just reviewed the notes my OB had sent him, and asked me qns about the pregnancy and any other significant medical history that had arisen since we last saw each other. No need for further testing. My child was 20 months old at the time, so not a huge gap.

Also our IF was unexplained... I guess if you had MFI or low AMH or you wanted to do a stim, they may want to update some results to decide on the protocol or see if you still needed ICSI.

I had embryos on ice, and we started the FET the Day 1 after our appointment - about 12 days later.

Hope you have as much luck as we did.
First time round it was 12 months of AC treatments.
2nd time round it was 2 months of AC.

Fingers crossed OP and PP.

Thank you both for replying. I am hoping that I will be able to start on day 1 after our appointment original.gif It took us 2 stim cycles and 8 FET's to become fall pregnant with our identical twin girls so I hope I have as much luck as you Lokum, we are lucky enough to have 11 embryos on ice but we are thinking of only trying 4 times as like you Gordo's Girl our girls are more than enough, I really hope it works for you next cycle original.gif

we pretty much started straight away on a full stim cycle as we had no frosties. fs ran some standard bloods  & amh but was happy for me to start that day as the timing was right. i chose to wait a month & was glad i did as my amh was low (2.3) and fs tweaked doseages accordingly. we got a bfp first cycle & now have a 3.5 month old ds2 :-) good luck & hoping you have the same success

I spoke to our FS/OB abour TTC#2 before DD was born! We were all set for a stim in August but we've moved interstate and am starting with a new FS/OB. We had to have the usual blood screening done. I also had another AMH Test. New FS just tweeked our successful cycle as research has indicated & we will stim next month. Fingers crossed!

no idea about the IVF sorry (but good luck), but if your twins were CS then this probably won't have changed (a vaginal birth should have changed it though).  my sister hasn't needed IVF, but she needed to be put under to have her mirena put in, and she has a child (who was born via CS)

PREGNANCY AND LOSS MENTIONED -

In relation to tests because we had over 3yrs between treatment my FS wanted me to get some BTs done and a ultrasound.

The ultrasound needed to be done at the start of my cycle, so that ruled out the following cycle for me.

The BT was to check my immunity to rubella and some other standard BTs too.

In the end, having had my first FS appointment in the AUg 2011, finding out i needed to get the MMR then waiting for that to be covered, having a US etc, i ended up waiting until Jan 2012 original.gif

Good luck. Are your 11 embryos blasts? I had 4 blasts frozen, we went for our first ET in Feb this year and lost two embryos in the thaw, and had one transfered successfully, but sadly i had a blighted ovum and D & C and just over 8weeks. The last lone blast was transfered im May and i fell pregnant again, im currently 24weeks with #2. I wish you all the best original.gif

I am currently pregnant (first pregnancy) and we have 9 frozen blasts. He said he looks forward to seeing us again and we could do pretty much an immediate FET when ready.

Your post caught my attention.

DS was first cycle lucky - ICSI and like you, our fertility specialist retired and we had to find a new one.

All I needed to do was blood test to test rubella, then it was found I needed a booster to bring my levels up.  So that was a month wait, as you can't get preg for that month it is in your system.

Then a scan to see how things look, all run of the mill, how many of these did I have with DS 1!

Now it is day 1, we are doing a frozen cycle and I have an appointment on the 16 for a scan, depends on what she sees and if we can pin point ovulation and away we go!

Hi everyone,

My name is Fiona and i am new on here.  I am currently doing ivf treatment.  I have had 2 failed attempts and had my 3rd embryo implant on monday(15/10).  I am not sure what to think.  Am not feeling the best with it all.  I think i feel different and not trying to over think but at the same time not sure if the pain i have is period related( hope it isn't).

Wondering if many ppl have had success?
