Sorry kjdean you were there just in the EDD TBC at the bottom as I wasn't sure of your due date. original.gif

I can't believe we are in the or close to the 3rd trimester already! December will be here before we know it.

Quick AFM I get to see out little one (or not so little) again next tuesday the OB wants to check its size and fluid as my fundal height is about 3 weeks ahead.

MrPostato- Can you add Surprise for us too please. Thanks for all your work, and yay for another bub sneak peek!

MahnaMahna- My SPD pain is just starting, I am in a house with stairs so that doesn't help. Did you have a brace last time? Did it help?

Izy Bee- I too put on in lots of spots, my hips and tummy, but have lots well afterwards with BF, so hope that is the same 3rd time around!

AFM- A neighbour kindly offered to wax my legs today as it is getting to warm to be in pants and I just have difficulty reaching. I of course ask DH but well he is too far away!

Hi, mrs potatohead can you please add DS 2 and it's a boy for me. Thanks!

So exciting to read the list and see so many babies due! Have less than 3 months left of work now so going to be here before we know it, better get a bit more organised.

Girl i know has just been diagnosed with gest diabetes, she seemed a bit in shock, which i can understand, though i'm about to go gorge myself on Maltesers again

Hello all waves.gif

MrsPotatoHead could you update my edd to the 12th please, and it's #1 for us and a suprise!

I hope everyone is well, It's been ages since I've been online.
DH and I have just moved house and I'm now living in a TOWN for the first time in my life, I'm super exited about having an internet connection, mobile phone reception and having mail delivered to our house.. ooh, and having rubbish taken away from our house. I feel like a real people now biggrin.gif

steen2007- I've been struggeling with SPD pain a bit and have had a few accupuncture sessions which seemed to help a bit, and I've got an appointment comming up with a phisio(sp?) to get a brace. Hope it helps or I'm going to have to stop work cry1.gif

I can't belive we're all heading into our 3rd trimesters! The countdown is on..

Hi everyone  waves.gif

MrsPotatoHead Could you pretty please add me to the list for an EDD of the 19th? It's #1 and a SURPRISE until I get the 4D scan next week to make sure lol. Thanks!

Hope everyone is keeping well. I managed to make it through the OGTT on Monday alright so hopefully I'll find out the results soon. I must admit I've been feeling quiet nauseous and headachy since so that hasn't been too fun.

Started our Birth and Parenting classes last night, it was a group of nine or so couples and was very relaxed. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks of classes, and of course the hospital tour.

Picking up the cot today and putting it up as well so that will keep me busy. I'm going to wash all the sheets and cot things and make it all pretty for when people have a look at the baby shower next weekend. I imagine I'll be leaving it that way until baby is born then everything will come out so there's just a sheet set in there.

There's not too long to go now, I'm down to 98 days!! How exciting!!

Hi Ladies,

Had my glucose test yesterday and it went allow as planned no poer chucks or anything although i did get a major sugar high then crash.

Not feeling too good today though, wish I could just crawl back into bed.

My friend is selling me her sewing machine that she cant use, so Im going to use it ot make some stuff for the babys room.

And have finally decided on a wall colour for the house. Grey Spirit by British Paints. it is seriously hard finding the perfect grey.

#14 LunaTwilight88

Posted 13 September 2012 - 08:11 AM

KiwiMelW i know EXACTLY what you mean about the perfect grey. We wanted to use grey for the nursery and theyspent nearly $200 on sample pots of grey paint before we gave up and went with a mushroom colour. Ended up with Colourbond Dune by Dulux. No grey ever looked right. We are putting it with a stark white trim and mocha furniture. I've put more time and energy into designing the nursery than any other room in the house.

Im not sure about anyone else but I've come down with a cold the last week. Its crazy Adelaide has actually had some nice weather and i go and get sick. Its causing me issues because i get so clogged up i can't breathe properly at night which makes me tired throughout the day. Thankfully i only work 3days a week and they are very understanding. Yay for working with women haha.

Hopefully everyone else is getting along well

Well, the power naps have started.  I just had a nap this morning that started at 8.30am, I kid you not, and ended an hour later.  The morning nausea just goes on and on these days.

I have no idea how I am going to cope when I go back to work the week after next.  I wake up at 4am these days, feel bubs kick for a bit and then get wide awake.  Strange.

Otherwise, in the middle of a huge home clean out and sort out.  Got the oven replaced and getting around to all the other little jobs as well.

Am very tempted to get some boexed sets of childrens' books to start reading to bubs.  My main interaction with him at the moment is to lie on the sofa with my hand on my belly staring at this kicks and turns. biggrin.gif

Hope everyone is well.

Got my growth scan yesterday and bub at least is still growing! Up to the 6th percentile now which isn't much but at least it's consistent growth.

Starting to get horrible hip/butt pain over the last few days. Not sure if it is SPD - where does that normally affect can any of the SPD sufferers tell me?  I've got pain where my legs slot into my pelvis which I had last time (pre-natal yoga I found helped a heap with that), but it's the shooting pain down my left hip into my butt that is really getting to me. Feels like the muscle is getting wound tighter and tighter with every step I take. I could barely walk yesterday.

We had our night away on the weekend and only had a few toddler meltdowns (of course one was at dinner so I ate my meal standing up with a basket case of a child hanging over my shoulder), went to the aquarium which was ok... and quick! Nothing like a child with a short attention span to get you moving from attraction to attraction at lightening speed!

#17 steen2007

Posted 13 September 2012 - 06:28 PM

cletus- SPD for me is just the pain of a hot knife right in the middle of my pubic bone. No other pain. YOu might have ligament trouble or something. Glad bubs is growing well.

pork chop- It is never to early to start reading and singing, so give the books a go. As for naps had 2 hours today!

Kiwi- Glad you got a colour and that the GT went well.

Mrslightyear- No work for me SAHM only here, but I just need to watch the steps at home and rest when I can. Might try some physio. Phew 3 months to go.

AFM- Sorted out all the boys clothes that no longer fit. Have had friends give hand me downs so have some girls clothes ready too. Feeling like the house is at least ready for another child.
Have just over 3 months to go and I cant even think about getting any bigger for now. Even if I go 3 weeks early like last time that is still 11 weeks of growing to do!

#18 aryastark

MrsLightyear- I know that feeling! Everything is so much easier in town!

KiwimelW- You sound very crafty. I don't know if I could have the patience for picking out all the colours and sewing stuff. Good for you original.gif

KJdean1988- I feel like I've had a cold my entire life now. I have to prop myself up on pillows through the night, but I always end up breathing through my mouth and have a gross dry mouth in the morning. Disgusting.

Porkchop's mama- I'm doing heaps of little jobs too, but it's frustrating to not be able to just move heavy things or work with cleaning liquids. DF works 50 hours a week, so it's hard to schedule doing things when he is at home. I wouldn't feel bad about the power naps. You're describing how I've been my entire pregnancy!

Cletus- Yay for growing baby! My hips have felt terrible too, just trying to get to sleep at night and my hips and legs are radiating pain. Ugh. This kid better be a doctor, because I'm going to need one!

AFM- I had a massage today. It was glorious, although now my hips hurt more than ever. I was too big for the pregnancy table (!!!) so I had to lay on my side. I knew the girl, and she was really digging right into my hips. Ouch. I hope I feel better tomorrow, because I've even got a bit of a waddle going now.

Finally made an appointment with the optometrist. I haven't been able to see properly... Basically since I got pregnant. I've always worn glasses for reading, but now I can't see long distance. Like, at all. I almost got into a very serious car accident today because of it... Very scary. I've put a self ban on driving until my eyes are figured out.

#19 steen2007

Posted 13 September 2012 - 08:20 PM

Luna baby- You might not be able to get glasses while pg. One of the pg flaws is that your script can change. If you can wait until after bubs is born. I used an old script while pg with #2 as I didn't want to take the risk of my eyes changing later for more money.

#20 LunaTwilight88

Posted 13 September 2012 - 08:48 PM

I would wait as well before having an eye test. Pre-pregnancy i used to wear contacts but i had to switch back to my glasses that were 3 years old and i can see perfectly. I need a new test done anyway was due for it in July so ill wait till January. Hopefully everything will be back to normal again.

Cletus- sounds more like sciatica (sp) I have terribly damaged ligaments round my lower spine and have suffered on and off with sciatica for the last decade. I have found it's worse during pregnancy though as with all the extra hormones like relaxin your muscles loosen up and therefore can't hold you in place as well. With any luck it will pass quickly for you.

#23 aryastark

Posted 14 September 2012 - 01:59 AM

RE: Glasses

I've heard that you shouldn't have your eyes tested during pregnancy, and that your script changes, but I've been having headaches which are akin to migraines for weeks now. I can't see two meters in front of myself. I can't drive any more, and even going shopping in the supermarket is a struggle (since I can't read/see anything).

I just don't think I can last the rest of my pregnancy like this.

How strange, I thought it was all in my head the my vision has changed a little. Its not too bad as it wasnt that bad to start off with but that makes more sense.

Luna - I wish I was craft, its all a bit of a try and learn kind of thing at the moment, I have a fair bit of spare time on my hands so its giving me something to do to kep me busy.

Steen - totaly know what you mean about getting bigger. Im not a very big girl as it is and i dont know how my baby is going to fit another 12 weeks of growing!!

kjdean - we tried 8 pots in the end, which were all different types of grey, you know greeny grey, brown grey, blue greys, narrowed it down to the typ eof grey that we liked and went from there, funnily enough it was the first colour i put on the wall we have gone with.  We have dune as our colourbond roof, its a beautiful colour!

AFM - went home sick yesterday and slept for 4 hours straight. Got my blood test results back and I am just under being in the danger zone for GD.  They are going to keep an eye on me. However she said I am really anaemic....again. I have thalassemia so have always had iron issues, but have been on iron supplements since I found out about the baby. Now I have to double my dose and take vitamin c as well. So at total count my morning vitamin ritual is now:

2 x iron and folate tabs
1 x pregnancty multivitamin
1 x vitamin c tab
metamusil.

I feel like a pharmacy, but the baby is eating me alive!

Just a quick one girls

I've been having dizzy spells and blurry vision for the last two days.
Plus a headache and hot flushes. I also had a bad case of PUPPS or pregnancy related rash.

OB/GYN has told me to go to the labour ward to be monitored.

Bubba is still kicking which is reassuring. Will update when I come home.
