I've signed up too. Feeling nervous but excited. I have about 10 kgs to lose - hoping to lose 5-8kgs minimum this round.
For those who have done it before how do you fit the meals in around your family? I have 2 kids - 6 and 3 years who are a bit fussy. Do you eat separately from your family or adapt the meals for them? If you stick to the 1200 calories does it matter too much if you deviate from the meal plans a bit?
I've just finished 2 rounds (lost 19kg, size 14 to a size 8) and I didn't follow the eating plans suggested in the 12wbt plan. I went through all the recipes and formulated my own based on our family budget and tastes. I meal plan a month at a time and shop once a month (stocking up on fresh f and v weekly), so I open up the recipe books and meal plans in the program and write out my 1200 calorie days a month in advance. We all eat the same meals, my portion always hovers around the 300 cal mark. I found My Fitness Pal excellent for keeping track of my portion sizes when having to use more ingredients to feed all of us. You will quickly learn how much you can have anyway - how many grams of chicken, steak, fish or cups of rice. I find it comes naturally now.
I particularly found the mindset activities invaluable and I think they played a large part in my success.
The exercise programs have been excellent for me (SAHM) with 3 children, unable to get to a gym. I get to do a 'real' workout without leaving home and have successfully changed my body shape through toning.
I joined a FB group with ladies from my area and I also think that support was invaluable. They helped me get my head around the program when I first started and were a great cheer squad.
Good luck to anyone that decides to do it!
