I think my mums is about 10000yrs old.

They harbour dust mites and germs and sweat but we spend 1/3 of our life on it.

How old is yours!?  Time flies.

Just a bit of fluff.....

5 years. Definitely need a new one, it was a cheapie from fantastic furniture and you can feel every spring.

I change my mattress every day! (come on, you knew SOMEONE was going to!)

In all seriousness, it's 5 or 6 years old. It needs replacing. It wasn't a cheapie, but I can feel the springs, and it is most uncomfortable when they dig into my ribs.

We bought a new mattress about 5 months ago and LOVE IT.  Our old one had a spring breaking through so we really needed a new one.   We joke around and say if we seperate - who gets to keep the bed.  The worst thing though is that DH hates going away now because he misses his bed too much.

About 13 years old I think. Need a new one - too small (it's a double) and the frame (only a few years old but dodgy Ikea one) is getting wobblier and wobblier.

10 years old. It's still nice and comfy though, so I'm very loath to change it, though I know I should get a new one considering its age.

We bought a new one when I was pg with DS so approaching 6 years ago. The one we had before that, DH had bought when he'd moved out of home!! It was really uncomfortable being that it was well over 10 years old!!

Mine is approaching 9/10 years old but it is still extremely comfortable. I did splurge on it though (latex comfort top, I think it is called) so I was expecting it to last a decent amount of time. When I no longer sigh with comfort when I get into bed, it will be time to get a new mattress  wink.gif

About 10-12 years old, it was DH's bed before we met.

It's aboutthree months old and was a replacement for a saggy old wreck (no, not DH) that we had for about 20 years.

Mine is 12 years old. Really time for a new one but it is really comfy. I've started looking for a new one but I really just want one the same as the old one but I bet they aren't the same anymore!
