Not sure if anyone can help me, I'll call them tomorrow, but thought I'd ask in case someone might know.
I'm filling out the forms to have my name changed. It says that if I was born overseas but am an Australian Citizen that I'd need to provide my citizenship certificate and current passport. I don't have a current passport, my passport expired about 10 years ago blush.gif
Will that be ok? Or will I need to apply for a passport just so that I can change my name?

I''m in a different state from you, so the rules may be different, but often the passport is wanted as your form of photo ID, so if you have a drivers license that should be fine.
ETA: I just looked at the form for you, I think if you have your citizenship cert, drivers license, debit card, and the evidence of living in your state for 12 months (bills, bank statements) you should be fine. Definitely give them a call and check though, I could be wrong!
