Well, I have had a day...remind me next time that family photographs are overrated?

How is everyone else?

But did the photos turn out well, that is the main thing?

Managed to get some painting done.  One step closer to getting the house on the market.   Then dinner with neighbour down the local pub (without an ipad wink.gif ).   Baby asleep and having a glass of wine.

Went ou for dinner alone with dh for the first time in about 17 months last night.

Bugger still refuses to put out tonight.

What is a girl to do?

Apart from that overshare we are all gearing up for Christmas so all good.

Although taste at Albert Park today meant parking near the restaurant for swimming lessons (which is a good 10-15 minute walk with a small child!) stupid lack of public transport to Albert Park!

Theyre over rated!
I say this as I hate being photographed.
I realised today that my christmas shopping will be done online. I am not going back to the shopping centre again!
5 minutes inside and I wanted a cattle prod!

Well, we were given a gift certificate for the sitting and one small print.  So we booked in and did the whole three-outfits two-hours-baby-wrangling lots-of-photos shebang.  There were some very nice photos, but the place wanted $200 a print for further pictures.  So I don't know that I'd call that turning out well, precisely, because while we were expecting them to be expensive, we weren't budgeting for that.

I got a bit grumpy when the guy gave us the hard sell about how in ten years' time we wouldn't regret the expense, but we would regret not buying the photos, and told him to his face I didn't appreciate his being emotionally manipulative  blush.gif .

Trying to get 13 year old DS to study....  Well not get him to study, that was easy. Keeping him on task was the hard thing.

I've never seen him so eager to help around the house and laughed when he asked if I wanted him to make the chooks get back into the back yard.

Had a pretty good day. Went to a special church service this morning which was great. Had a massive headache this afternoon so had a nap. One kid went to a birthday party and one kid to a friends place. Then the kid's Dad took three of them to a local train museum for a special night thing and only came home with one kid. One of the Mum's from school works there so they had been having free train rides all night and she has offered to bring them home when it all finishes at 10pm so they will be pretty happy about that. Spent the evening working on an assignment and feel like I have a good handle on it-always happy when I get to that point.

I've never had family photos done, maybe I should?

After today, I recommend shopping around and comparing price packages first!

I am exhausted. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 6am. Thankfully not hungover, but could have done with more sleep.

Hi everybody.

I am awake but have nothing about pictures to contribute.

#13 Paddlepop

I'm awake but I'm a night owl anyway.

We've had two very impressive storms today in Brisbane. Very very loud thunder and lightning that struck quite close to us. One strike this morning scared me so much that I tried to hide under the blankets in bed (still in bed during the storm). Amazingly DD slept through it all this morning!

Another strike tonight confirmed that my pelvic floor muscles are working very well, thankfully! It was so close. Tonight DD was both fascinated and scared by the storm. She's only 2y9mths old. We haven't lost power, so I'm very glad about that.

Apart from the storms, today has been pretty quiet. DH had his tonsils out last week, and has now developed an infection in his salivary glands, so he had to ring the surgeon, then go to a GP, and then get the precise generic version of the antibiotic that doesn't make him ill.

Professional photos sound like hell to me. Haven't done it, don't intend to.

Today has proceeded much like the past 4 days, in that I am still stuck in hospital and having people examining me and feeding me pills all the time.

No wine to be had here sad.gif

Sorry to hear, Catolyn.  Is there a light at the end of the tunnel for you?

Once I get my MRI done they can decide on treatment and send me home with an outpatient physical rehab plan.

Unfortunately it seems like in the last 4 days half of Melbourne has been getting in car accidents and/or needing brain surgery, so I'm way down the priority list.

At least I've got Endone on demand here 8)

Completely off topic, can someone please tell me what SatNigDruFemBar actually stands for? I see it most Friday and Saturday nights, but I need someone to translate what the thread heading means.

Oh Caz!  Sounds like hell except the endone.

Ange, that is beyond ridiculous bait and switch pricing!  Good on you for giving him a serve.

Yeah we got off lightly this morning with stormage but tonight a storm cell sat on top of us for ages and it was scary.  Had two power surges and thought we were bound to lose power but so far all good.  My poor ginger imbecile of a cat is beside himself, even under my bed is dangerous.

Catolyn, that sucks that you have to wait for your MRI.

DH was sent home from having his tonsils out with a bottle of liquid oxycodone. It apparently tastes foul but it does the job. A few days ago he sat down and asked "Is it just me or is the world shaking?" Obviously took his doses a litle bit too close together! I've been keeping a closer watch on his dose times since then.

It predates my time here by a long way, but I think it's meant to stand for Saturday Night Drunken Females' Bar.  (Which loosely means, this thread is for aimless chat, whether you're drinking or not!)

I will never work for nor be the type of photographer that does the good ole bait and switch hard sell.  It's amazing how many still do it because the vast majority of clients loathe it and lose sales becaue of it.  Surprise, surprise rolleyes.gif

Caz, endone on demand.  That's a plus at least.  Get well, woman!
It was bloody 35 here today is is still over 20.  UGH.

DD has decided to go to bed later lately.  Tonight she finally conked out saying "I like daddy, and I like YOU mummy, I like Timmy and I like my horsie... but I also LOVE you both, mummy!"
Why do you love daddy?
"He gives me a new ipod.."
(her name for a tablet, she was spoilt with a nexus 7)
Fickle wee witch.

"...may I have a pony peese...?"

It's a bloody miracle worker for pain. Having said that, on Thursday I was taking it every 2 hours (yes, two) and was still in a fair amount of discomfort ohmy.gif Since I've been switched onto Lyrica it's been much better though. Although it does kind of make me feel high as a kite - but hey it's not like I have to do anything while I'm here.

Blazac, cats and storms are so cute. I used to have a cat that would kick up a huge stink to be let outside when it was storming - he thought the noise was coming from inside the house.

I'm laughing so much at my typo in that last post, guess who had their Lyrica about 90 minutes ago.
