The ultimate for me would be Trent Reznor, although I think I'd probably freeze up and just gape at him like a goldfish.
I'd love to meet James Frey, love his writing style. And John Birmingham. There's a lot of writers actually - I think I just need to get to more book launches
Would love to meet Stephen King too
I'd love to sit down and have a chat with Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard (separately), but not for about ten years or so. Once they're both out of politics and can look back on the last few years with the benefit of time, I think it'd be a fascinating chat.
Would love to meet Gough Whitlam. My grandmother and grandfather knew him well back when he was their local member and were quite involved in the election campaign that made him PM. Years later my uncle (their son) used to see him at various events, and he always asked after them and had a little chat. Apparently he's wonderful to spend time with.
Craig Ferguson would be great fun to meet I think. Again, I'd probably get star struck.
