How do you transport all of your equipment to and from venues? between shoes/costumes/underwear/hairspray/makeup/clothing/food/water etc the list goes on!
How do you get it all there? suitcase? pack hore? A380?

Costume bag which holds a few changes, and a large messenger bag for hair stuff, makeup, water, etc.

My DD does cheer, pom, jazz and hip hop so there a quite a few outfit changes.
I have a small suitcase with wheels and a handle. It fits everything (including snacks) and is easy to get around.

Yep, lots of dance parents used the plastic tubs, good for costumes. I also used those cooler bags that have a trolley attached for all makeup and hair stuff. Keeps it together and cool in the sweaty backstage environment.

We have a big dance bag for shoes, stockings, water etc. Make up and hair pins, bun nets etc, we had a pink kids fishing tackle box and it works a treat. Thankfully we don't have to worry about costumes as someone brings them for us.

I just used a garment bag for dd's rehearsal on the weekend. Costumes were on hangers then I just hung a plastic shopping bag over the hangers, one for her dance shoes and one for her snack/drink. A small make up bag just sat in the bottom of the garment bag, zip it up and away you go. And of course label everything!!!

Zip-up garment bag for costumes. Plastic tub with everything else... and her name on absolutely everything (even coat hangers have a name on them!)

Wow! that's some serious organising there!...a little out of my league though!
I have a garment bag for the costume and a bag for the shoes - I was thinking a little spinner suitcase to put it all in and so that I can still wheel it and control my 20month old at the same time! it's going to be a long day!

You seem to be missing a letter, I'm hoping an 'S' rather than a 'W'.
We just use a small bag for the shoes, and regular gear and carry the costume (which we only use at the concert) separately, nothing so exciting as your list

One day I will invest in a Dream Duffle!
For now, I have an Ikea clothes rack, and I assemble that in the dressing room, and then hang all the costumes (from a plastic tub) onto that.
Shoes the girls carry themselves in their dance bags (3 pairs each).
Makeup is in a large clear shoebox-sized tub. Hair stuff is in several small clear containers that I arrange on the bench in the dressing room. (For transport, it all goes in a green bag.)
I had 13 costumes this year (4 children dancing). But it actually went really smoothly, because DD1 is old enough to manage her own changes.
When we were heading back to the car after the concert on Friday night, DH asked, "How many trips did you make to get all this stuff up to the dressing room?" He was gobsmacked that I'd done it all in one trip! Did he forget I had 4 children with me to do their share???

I've got a clothes rail on wheels.
Each costume is in it's own garmet bag, usually with any hair pieces/accessories, in with it. Tights and ballet shoes in with the first ballet costume.
Each of the girls have their own regular dance bag, which holds anything like heavier shoes (taps, jazz joggers), and snacks, and I'll throw the makeup case which I have specifically for concerts (so contains concert makeup, and hair stuff) and hairspray in one of the bags.
I still remember going to our first one, and seeing someone wheeling in a clothes rail, thinking OMG, I'll never be one of those mothers.
I started with the clothes rail 2 years ago, when DD3 started dancing.
This year, I only had 7 costumes. I then shared the rail with a friend or two.

We had our first concert this year. The dancing school took all the costumes, and girls were supposed to have their make up done when they arrived. I only had to send a snack and a drink.

My DD only has 2 costumes this year & I will be the one changing her so will be keeping them with me in a bag. Make up & hair is to be done at home before we go so I don't need to worry about hauling that around.
On dress rehearsal last week I was gobsmacked at the amount of stuff some parents had to haul around ..... maybe that will be me one day lol

Suitcase for shoes and costumes, then a bag with makeup and hair things (hairspray, glitter, extra bobby pins) then another bag with drinks and snacks and quite things (colouring books pencils or crayons, iPods, dvd player etc.). Our concert day we need to be there by 12pm and don't leave until 11pm. Some people leave for the hour between the two concerts but I don't see the point I get DF to bring us some hot food and we sit it out.

Costumes in garment bags from Big W, they come with hair and make up done and wearing their stockings. So then they have their dance bags - the regular take to class every week dance bag - about the size of a school bag, with their shoes, spare stockings, lipstick, hairspray, packet of bobby pins, packet of safety pins and their lunchbox and water bottle in.
It's not enough for a plastic tub!

All I've had to do is make sure DD's makeup and hair was done-costumes completely taken care of by the dance school. Small back pack with lipstick for touch ups, and a drink.

I had costumes in a suit bag with a bottom & hung a plastic bag inside with accessories. Esky on wheels & shopping trolley as in the closed one on wheels this held clothes to change into-activities to occupy them. So girls helped with trolley & suit bags & I bought the esky in-someone had the suitcase great idea & I think I saw the duffle bag one.

My DDs currently only do one performance each so we're easy. Our new school allows the children to arrive in costume (with dressing gown/coat and slippers over the top), so they're all ready to go. I just have a small clip-lock type plastic container with makeup and hair touch ups and sewing kit/spare sequins in it. It goes in a collapsible shopping basket with fully charged iPods and water bottles for backstage. I use the basket rather than a bag so they can easily chuck in the dressing gowns and slippers. Next year will be more interesting, as they will be doing more classes (and therefore more costumes and shoes).

We don't transport our own costumes, fortunately the dance school takes care of that. We do have a long list of what to bring though.
We use a wheelie suitcase with a pull out handle that my Daughter (aged 7) can manage on her own. Everything she needs goes in that bag. I pack her shoes (Jazz, Tap, Ballet & Hip Hop) in separate cloth bags. Her socks, tights, hair pins, brush, hair nets, hair spray, make up etc are in a small hard make up case. Lunch/Dinner snacks in a lunch box. Books, toys and a blanket, baby wipes... it all fits very nicely and She knows to pack it all back in but just in case - NAME ON EVERYTHING!!!!!

Cali mum here, so we have comps throughout the year, then the concert - DD has a small wheelie suitcase (the carry-on size) and a hanging garment bag. Long costumes go in the hanging one and other leotards get put into big ziplog bags into the suitcase, along with wiglet, lunchbox, small make-up bag/hairspray etc. Her clubs/rod/dance shoes usually get chucked into the hanging garment bag too.
Works really well as she just plonks the open suitcase on the bench, hangs up the garment bag and is good to go. Nearly all the girls in her team do the same.

I don't have to worry about costumes for concerts thankfully, as they're hired from the school and their responsibility.
For the rest though, shoes, tights and all other clothing bits go into a small wheeled suitcase, which also serves to throw "yes, that's what they do" things into in a rush. Lunches etc go into a cooler bag, and hair and makeup stuff we have a very nifty specific case for that's like a mini chest of drawers. It zips open fully one end to reveal 3 pull out trays with dividers for organising standard makeup and all the other special bits she needs like hairpieces etc, the top is like a zip open shelf, handy for straightening irons etc, then there is a side and end pocket as well. Yes, it cost me a pretty penny quite a few years ago, but I've never looked for anything else as it works so well. Unfortunately though, they don't seem to exist any longer.
Comp time is the same, except her costumes are transported in garment bags specially made by me to allow for big full petticoats...one bag per costume, which is how they're stored at home. Tutus have their own tutu bag, stored flat under my bed, and transported like that also, they're way too valuable to muck around with!
Unfortunately, even the dream duffle, which I've seen in action many times doesn't seem to be the total solution to carrying everything, although it's an awesome device!
