So I purchased a lovely coat from ASOS.

Coat is divine.....except for one small problem. The arms are too tight sad.gif

I purchased the next size up..... Body does not fit as well and arms are still a titch tight.

So do you think it would be possible to widen the sleeves of the jacket (arm hole is fine) to make it fit? Or will this cost an arm and a leg unsure.gif

Your thoughts please.

It will depend on how much extra fabric in in the seam.  You'd need to take it to someone who can take a look and tell you if it's even possible.  They may also be able to make the body fit better, so to me, that would be worth it.

Hi
I'm a tailor. It would be unlikely that there would be any fabric available to let the sleeves out at all. Mass produced clothing is made with an absolute minimum of fabric with tiny seam allowances.
Even if there was enough to let out, it would not be enough to make a noticeable difference and would affect the hang of the sleeve and the fit of it into the armhole.
If you are in Melb I would be happy to take a look original.gif

This is exactly what I would have said
(Not sure what happened with the quote there)
