Everyone seems so stressed! So what little things bring you joy?
Today I am happy for the online reserves process at the library. Even if it means I have ended up with 19 books to read in the next 3 weeks

Ahaha, I have this delightful problem too!
I like baking Christmas goodies like gingerbread and cardamom shortbread, because I only ever make them this time of year.
I like going for a bushwalk - tree therapy.
I like lying on some grass, looking up at leaves against the sky - quick-fix tree therapy.
I like reading stories to DN.
I like sitting down with a cup of tea after DN is in bed!
I like finding someone new to play the "In my pants" game with (try to find the funniest book/movie/play title when you tack "in my pants" onto it. Best so far is Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises.) ETA: I've just added this to the Games forum. Good one, Ianthe!

Having the foresight to pay for the extended warranty for my iMac when I had the money has made me very, very happy this week!

What makes me happy today is that I have a day off after working pretty much four weeks straight . And the smell of mangoes and other fruit when I open my fridge :-). Oh and I'm also happy because my morning sickness has gone .

Sitting outside on my little deck in my tiny backyard and thinking, "yes, I am doing this, all by myself"

Listening to Christmas Carols at this time of the year.
Even if I am shopping and feeling stressed, if I make a point of listening and singing along to a Christmas Carol is makes me feel happier.
Generally music works to change my mood.

Little pots of colour!! I am feeling the stress too so plan to go to a garden centre soon and buy some red petunias so I can gaze out my kitchen window at them whenever it's all to much! They make me smile on the inside.

Sitting down to eat lunch while ds3 is asleep and watch super nanny on tv. It will fill me with complete joy that no matter how frustrating my boys can get they are nothing like the kids on this show.
But to properly answer your question, going to school assembly and seeing both my school boys getting awards.

I really enjoy the social aspect to this time of year, I also love knowing that the summer break is not too far away xx

The fact that in about 2 weeks times I won't have to make school lunches for 6 whole weeks
Plus just generally Xmas time - the tree, the decorations, the presents, family, the carols, christmas lights adventures (not in that order).

Going to bed with fresh clean sheets
Lazy days at the beach
Shopping alone, and buying clothes for me
My just turned 2 year old feeling the need to announce everytime she farts by saying 'i warted' with a cheeky grin on her face always makes me smile

watching Ethan sit on DH's lap while he plays guitar. Ethan tries to play too and has started "singing" (read grunting and squeaking) to the music. it makes me teary, its one of the most beautiful things to watch in my life

6 more days until 8 whole weeks of holidays. No school lunches, no early morning rush, no battles to get DD out of bed in the morning.

As corny as this will sound My family makes me happy. I have such a fabulous DH and 2 healthy happy DS's.
The other thing is Christmas and Christmas Carols. Watching the kids open their presents brings me happiness as well. This is my favourite time of the year.
Oh and Chocolate.

Eating blue cheese and smoked salmon portions, together right now while DS is asleep. Even better, I found them both in the reduced to clear pile

Hmm..not my best day so I should definitely do this. Here goes:
Reading a book that sucks me in so much that I read it in the shower because I can't bear to stop.
That frighteningly strong cup of coffee you get from the (drip) pot when it's only halfway through.
The minty, crisp scent of a mojito on a warm day.
The few minutes, yesterday, when the humans were all gone and the dogs were actually silent and I was surveying the bright green leaves of my super-mega-bionic veggie garden.
Seeing kiddo cuddling my old toys, that mom just shipped over, as if they were her best friends.
That I've finally decided I'm ready to try for a second child, after taking 6 months off from ttc to rethink it all.

I can google "Christmas gift ideas for teachers / 3 year old niece" at any time of the day or night, find great suggestions, order them and have them delivered to my house (or the recipients house), without having to step foot in a shop during the month of December. The shops weren't open on a Saturday afternoon when I as a kid!
Multi faith family - the positive side of the "December Dilemma":
I can magically turn Christmas presents into Hanukkah presents, enabling the kids to open them before we go away next week, so I don't have to take them with us.
So happy that my adult family members stopped buying each other crap we don't need and bankrupting ourselves and now do a secret Santa present instead. Christmas is more enjoyable and less financially ruinous.

I had no idea that having 3 of them could/would bring so much fulfilment.
Reading in bed on a cold rainy day. actually just reading in bed in general.
chocolate. normally it doesn't do much for me, but at the moment, its my happy place
