Yes - really debating the big issues with this topic!!   cool.gif  The dog, cat and children were playing on our bed last night and ripped a massive hole in our quilt cover.  The one that ripped was a dark charcoal waffle type colour cover.  The only problem is that the curtains that dominate our room are really difficult to co-ordinate with sad.gif   Would prefer something not quite as dark as what we had as it gets covered in dog hair the day we put it on!

So design gurus - hit me with your quilt cover ideas - the curtains are similar to this wallpaper http://www.vectorious.net/img-damask-wallp...round-13305.htm

Thanks in advance!

Yellows and duck egg blues go great with charcoal.

I buy a lot of stuff from Adairs. Try www.adairs.com

I would just go for something plain white, perhaps with a texture or pattern to it, then layer with a charcoal blanket or quilt at the foot of the bed.

That sounds lovely Credence - but should have said I have a black cat which sheds and sleeps for about 18 hours a day on the bed.  I will take a look boatibabe - thank you!

I like the Sheridan one.

I agree a white one would work with some dark throw pillows.  We bought this one in ivory and we love it, but it comes in white too.

I love the ones IsolaBella suggested for me, lol, but I have a quilt cover fetish. I used to go down to the Actil/Sheridan outlet(It was a 1 minute drive from my house lol) when I was having a down day and buy a quilt cover or sheets now they are building a housing estate on the site mad.gif . They were a very good price so not extravagant.

Try cottonbox.com.au - it's a good way to compare different brands, and you can search by brand, colour etc.

I've ordered some cushions from them... very speedy postage (if they don't put it on backorder; if they do they give you the option to cancel).

Love the Brooklyn slate cover Yoda and I do love the colour and design of the cover you suggested Mummy1 - but I think too much flower!  Emils - I will check out cottonbox and trust me Greeneggjimmyjam - even with a fab new cover my bedroom wont resemble those photos  ohmy.gif

Hi There

I work at Sheridan.

If you can't wait for boxing day sales and you want something from Sheridan join the free VIP club it gives you advance notice of sales. I think it is 30% off everything atm but it goes up to 40 (45 with the VIP card)

I am a big fan of white white white with a throw or folded coverlet and some cushions to make a statement pop of colour. These can be updated with the season.

There is a fab linen cover called Abbotson in alchemy which is a paler charcoal and may suit with some white accessories.

Also the current colour fave chartreuse looks terrific with charcoals Sheridan have some but I am sure other places do as well.

Good luck wink.gif
