I think I'm coming down with the tummy bug that my DD had yesterday. Sigh. I had so much I wanted to get done today too.

So how are YOU feeling?

Exhausted, with an almost constant headache and lower backache. And, no, I'm not pregnant. I hate this time of year.

Surprisingly well. Had my second round of chemo this week, and am doing fine. Hair is 90% gone and that is taking some getting used to, but I feel strong and positive and full of life at the moment.

Hope you are both feeling better soon.

Stressed to the eyeballs. Kids are exhausted and just being horrible. Have burst into tears on several different occasions today. Brain is barely working and every time it kicks in a little then one of the kids disturbs me or screams or cries.

On a lighter note I *think* I am close to finishing an assignment.

I'm exhausted, and thank heaven I had the foresight to put dinner in the slow cooker.

DH and I have just assembled a shed for the pool pump and filter. The instructions show pictures for only the large size shed, which is not what we have...so everything was different than what it says. During the middle of it, I had a hypo, so I had to deal with that...which exhausts me no end. But I couldn't let DH finish it on his own, as it needed two people.

So now I have had a cool bath, washed all the dirt off (the wind was blowing the pool sand all around us) and now I can smell dinner and I am relaxing. Love it.

I had sick children on and off all week (last week of school for the big boys too sad.gif ). We were supposed to go to a party today but I cancelled so we don't make anyone else sick for Christmas.

Stressed out!  Kids and I are going to my parents holiday house for over a month soon and I am trying to clean the house, photograph and list all my items I want to sell on eBay and hide everything I don't want DH getting rid of because he doesn't think we need it while we are gone!

DH is only able to take a weeks holiday to join us over Xmas but the kids and I are going before and getting back after. I am sooo worried he will chuck out some of my expensive things I don't use much because he hates any sort of clutter.  He told me recently that he told someone he would give them some of our stuff for nothing that we could probably get $500 for if we listed them on eBay etc

I caught a cold in this heat and am feeling very crappy. Lucky DH is home today to play with DD. I am so worried she might catch it off me that I have had to limit my kisses and hugs today sad.gif

Hattie you sound like an inspiration for me to stop feeling sorry for myself. hugs

Feeling ok now, finally sitting down after getting dinners ready feeding kids.

We had a pretty full on day, lots of family issues going on, but we have all come out of it pretty unscathed.  I have seen a strength in my sister today that I haven't seen in a long time.  Makes my heart sing!

MS was at the for front today (seems to have kicked in the last couple of days).  Trying to not get too attached due to having a mc in September.  It is proving to be hard.

Tired.

It has been a few weeks from hell. Just too busy, although some great things happened. Thankfully school finishes Tuesday and I have off until after new year.

DS was wanting to head down to the beach today for nippers and then head back in the morning for champions trophy, but we decided that was just too much to do that for a 3rd weekend, so we have had a quiet day here, ds had a mate over.

I say and watch Aus beat India, so will be there cheering tomorrow as Aus goes for its 6th win in a row.

Go Jamie!!!

I'm tired. No scratch that, I'm freaking exhausted. This week was my first week back at work since May (three days) and I am completely wrecked. Thankfully DF is home to take care of the DD duties, but we are leaving at 6am tomorrow to go to Adelaide for four days and I haven't even thought about packing. I'm not looking forward to the 10-11 hour drive AT ALL.

But I am looking forward to avoiding the crappy 45 degree days we are having here.
And there's a pool next to our cabin.
Thankfully DD loves the car, and we are giving a friend a lift, so she can keep her amused if she cracks it after 8 hours.
And I just got given a shelving unit for free which DF has gone to pick up! I can finally get my linen off my desk and out of the reach of cats!

doing research online about 'Gleason Score' in relation to prostate cancer.

My mum called me today to tell me that my Dad has a very aggressive form of prostate cancer. I really dont know how I feel. My Dad tells me he's trying not to think about it and is taking it one day at a time. I hate the being in limbo land as I wont know anything further until next week when he speaks to a specialist.

What a great weekend...

Received 2 dental fillings today.  That makes a total of 7 in 2.5 years.  All day morning sickness is not fun an now this mad.gif

Special message to Hattie - i don't know you and you don't know me but i have read many of your posts over the years (  ph34r.gif  sorry if that sounds creepy) and have often thought what a lovely, warm, kind and funny person you are. I was shocked and saddened to read of your cancer diagnosis, but you are a very strong and courageous person and I feel positive that you'll get through this.  Best wishes xx

Good luck with the Chemo!

Today started off pretty darn sh*tty as I had a wonderful dream where I was running and playing and chatting with my son. I woke up and it took a long while for the reality to come back. I then had a lot of trouble to get motivated to get out of bed let alone have breakfast, showered, a load of washing out. But, I did. Then we went shopping and I have completely knocked off all my Christmas shopping which means I can steer clear  of all major shopping centres until January! That made me happy again. Then I meditated this afternoon and have released a few other stresses

Can I just say that you are AWESOME, keep up the positive awesomeness through your chemo journey!  bbighug.gif

Back to the whinging... I feel crap with a head cold and about to move house this week, so between looking after the boys, packing up the old house and cleaning (and I mean, really scrubbing on hands and knees, this house is a rundown bomb needing major renos) the new place I am knackered. Oh and the little one keeps waking at night, so totally worn out on all accounts.

On the upside family Xmas dinner tonight as my bro is going to the USA for Xmas. Looking forward to it.

How am I today?

Utterly exhausted ... I'm the only one who turned up to a working bee at the school today - yet I'm the pregnant one! Worked for two hours and then collapsed at home in the air con. Dealt with toddler tantrums all day, and there's still a mountain of housework ahead of me....

BUT... then I read Hattie's post and my troubles are so insignificant. Hope the chemo does the job and you are back to normal in no time. <<hugs>>

Dog tired. Spent hours in a hospital emergency department last night with all four kids, as my 7-year-old had suddenly become very unwell. Headache, stiff neck, vomiting, photophobia and a rash. Was eventually told it was viral, and got home at about midnight. 7-year-old has been in bed all day (but seems to be improving now), 11-year-old has been amusing himself all day and the 3-year-old and 2-year-old have been feral due to the late night last night. House is a mess because I can't be bothered to clean up. Will do it tomorrow, providing 7-year-old is on the mend. But in light of this post from Hattie, I'm not complaining. Perspective: I has it.

To be honest I can't complain. Day at the beach, DH building sandcastles for DS. I love where we live...

To all who are fighting personal battles, hopefully everything will be better soon!

I'm so sorry...from what I know (which isn't much...) there are often quite good treatment outcomes with prostate cancer...I really hope your  dad pulls through...

I'm ok, the baby is in bed which is always nice! (As much as I love him....he's very cute, but practically adorable when sleeping!)

DS 1 is quietly playing (!)... I'm having a wine and no one has complained about my music choices (yet)...cheers to everyone ...!
