Will anyone admit to hearing the prank call and having a giggle?

It's amazing to me that not one person in the hundreds of comments posted about this prank call has admitted to finding it funny.
I may need to delete my EB account and never come back after this, but I heard it and laughed at the time.
Obviously in hindsight with the aftermath it's not funny, but given that these jokes are a stable on commercial radio SOMEONE must be listening.

I think lots of people laughed. This is the problem, it's become so commonplace to do this sort of thing that everyone just accepts it and doesn't think about the person on the receiving end.

No, not in the slightest. It made me cringe with embarrassment.

I am the type of person who will immediately change stations if they are about to prank someone because they make me feel so uncomfortable for the person being pranked.

I haven't heard it in its entirety as don't listen to the radio. I only saw what they played on the news and didn't find any aspect of it funny. I felt terribly embarrassed for the poor nurse. I didn't seek to listen to it online either as have no interest in hearing it.

I didn't laugh, I don't find it amusing, but I'm not understanding the back lash the dis are copping over it. The hospital need to check their protocol when it comes to the privacy of their patients.

That's because it wasn't funny, just very silly and juvenile.

I was more worried that that the nurse would loose her job over it at the time.

No. I'm surprised to see a thread with this title given the circumstances. Not in good taste IMO.

You're right. We should really stick to speculating about the mental health of the victim and blaming the DJs

Nope, I found it painful to listen to like most prank calls. I usually turn off the radio when they come on.

nope heard it on the news and just thought what I always do with these stupid radio prank calls - that it was stupid,. juvenile and decidedly not funny at all.

gotcha calls make me want to puke - radio goes off immediately can't stand that crap.

I guess I'm just thinking that with all the publicity the DJs themselves gave it it must have had position e feedback initially. And with the amount of people on EB it just seems a bit hard to believe no one found it funny.

No I saw it on the TV didn't laugh. My first thought was why is the radio station broadcasting details of ANYONES medical condition? (assuming that they didn't have the patient's permission). And my second thought was poor nurses they will probably lose their jobs over this.

Dont listen to these stations, they play crap music and their talk is just fill, so only heard it afterwards in the media. Listened to it on computer, and didnt laugh, was more interested and astounded.

There have been a couple who did say they giggled but I would imagine that even if anyone did initially find it remotely funny they would find it difficult to admit it now.

Yes, STBG, that's my point. That no one wants to admit it now.

Haven't heard the entire replay of the call - but I found it hilarious. Heaven forbid any of us have a sense of humour. FFS it even got a giggle out of Prince Charles.

And to commit suicide over a prank call?? Ummm, seriously?? There are a lot more issues going on in the background than one stuff up over a phone call.

No.  I find "comedy" about people being humiliated and upset cringemaking and really don't see how anyone could find it funny.

I only heard it post uproar, so I guess I was not able to take it in the original context.
I think if I had I would have found it entertaining in an "omg I can't believe they are doing that and getting away with it!" kind of incredulous way.

Sure I could tell you I heard it and had a giggle, but I would be lying, it was awful, not funny in the slightest.

Didn't hear it. But then I do not listen to crap shock jock radio stations, I have better things to listen too (like silence wink.gif )
