It's so loud I keep jumping.  Thank goodness my 7 year old is asleep and hopefully sleeps through pretty much anything.  But master 10 is still awake and they're already tired enough being this time of year.  I let him put his headphones on with music so I hope he gets to sleep with that.

Whereabouts are you? No rain or thunder here - we are western suburbs.

I'm just south of Mandurah and we have it all! Thunder, lightning and rain.  There may have been some hail earlier too.

It's so full on.  Lightning is freaky too.  I'm not usually bothered by storms but omg!  The dog is freaking too.

Hopefully the damage is minimal..

We can see the lightening, but can't hear anything... Yet.

Things seem to have quietened here a little and I think it's heading north.

I've just received the severe thunderstorm sms alert, it's heading down the coastline south.

Will probably hit here soon then. I keep hearing rumblings but can't work out if it is planes or not. Knowing my luck I'll finally manage to get to sleep and then it wakes us all up.

Whoa it's just got crazy! It's like a strobe light out there and the thunder is really rattling.

Wind is picking up.

Better move my outside table.

I left the bikes outside lol.

The sky is lit up like a Christmas tree! Fascinating!

Saw some lightening whilst outside.

My garage door was open too so I'm glad I had to go out the back.

The power went out and came on twice, so glad I switched all the power points off as I have lost equipment to power surges.

Country Wa here-we seem to just be getting a dry storm at the moment. Heaps of lightening and no rain, hoping it doesn't start to many fires or ruin to much of the crops.

Fook me, you weren't kidding about the loudness.

Just turned off the TV. Didn't want to risk it thanks to terri's post.

Well that went by quite quickly.

But I have been left with no power....bollocks.

Hope it is back by the morning.

It's pelting down out there! Our yard is flooded...and the road out the front is pretty waterlogged too.

I'm surprised we still have power, it went out at least once over night here.

I'm about 5km north of Perth, barely a drop of rain last night and certainly no storms. It is looking very grey outside now but seems to be blowing over.

I'm down south, where is my rain and my storm? I feel ripped off...
