As title says, I want to make sushi and I have no idea where to start!

Google has some basic recipes but I was wondering what everyone uses.

Thank You

Easy.  Do you have a rice cooker?  If so it makes it even easier.  Standard for rice cooker is 1 cup rice to 1 cup water.

Rinse 1 cup of rice under cold water - drain
Add 1 and a 1/2 cups of cold water, bring to boil, cover, simmer for 12 mins
Remove from heat and stand covered for 10 mins
Place rice in non-metallic bowl and evening mix through 3-4 tbsp of sushi vinegar using wooden spoon.
Cool rice via fanning

You can buy sushi rice but I think that is exxy - I just buy medium grain rice instead.

Fillings - canned tuna, kewpie mayonaisse, lemon juice to taste, chives, seasonings
raw salmon, cucumber, avocado
cream cheese, lemon juice, smoked salmon, chives and seasonings.

I make the above regularly - in fact I am making some for this weekend.

How dogs could make children better readers

Issues around children learning to read are rarely out of the news. Which is hardly surprising – becoming a successful reader is of paramount importance in improving a child's life chances. Nor is it surprising that reading creates a virtuous circle: the more you read the better you become. But what may come as a surprise is that reading to dogs is gaining popularity as a way of addressing concerns about children's reading.
