Hi,
I need some help with some wording on a card.
(background). My best friend and I were going to Fiji next year (her first time o/s) unfortunately it was a little out of her price range.
She decided to book a cruise instead, which I was totally ok about but not really convinced about going.
After thinking about it I decided to book it ( she hasn't stop begging me ...lol)
I am yet to tell her...today is the last day I'll see her till early jan. We decided on no Xmas presents so I bought a card and want to tell her in the card that we are coming on the cruise.
So am after some inspiration as to what to write on the card...
Anyone witty this early in the morning....

No - she needs to know for planning.

How about:

Merry Christmas dear friend,
Hope it's all that you dream
And the New Year that follows
Be fun and a scream

I am sorry our travels
Did not happen as dreamt
May the cruise be a blast
And worth all that you've spent

One more season's greeting
To you and your plans
We've decided to join you
Farewelling dry land!

You really did not think
I would let you run
Without me beside you
Enjoying the fun?

Merry Christmas
and
Bon Voyage Us!

How dogs could make children better readers

Issues around children learning to read are rarely out of the news. Which is hardly surprising – becoming a successful reader is of paramount importance in improving a child's life chances. Nor is it surprising that reading creates a virtuous circle: the more you read the better you become. But what may come as a surprise is that reading to dogs is gaining popularity as a way of addressing concerns about children's reading.
