Seriously? How is that even an excuse, he is their father!
Hope you find something to get you through Christmas.
It's not worth it really. We have had a really hard time together (with many many issues) and have just recently separated and are trying to mend the relationship. I have been treading on thin ice for a very long time now so can't rock the boat (so to speak).Sassy Dingo-
unfortunately DH is on an award which states that, as long as they give him [x amount of weeks notice- I think it's 2?) then he has to take it as annual leave. In his job it has always been this way for as long as I can remember.
The reason why
he hasn't got any annual leave is my concern though. His work have been very quiet so on quite a few occasions this year work have asked him if he would like to go home early. He didn't realise that they were taking it out of his annual leave. Apparently they HAVE to pay him a 38 hours week but if he 'chooses' to come home then it comes out of annual leave. Hwever if they ask him and he refuses then they can't make him leave (his award states that they need at least 24 hours notification of shutdown). He of course has had other important times off during the year such as at DS's first year anniversary of passing - I think he had two days off. And also when we went to an interstate conference for DS's condition- that was another two days.
He has also been looking for other work for a while now (about 2 years) as his level of pay barely keeps our heads above water. But we have just been trying to manage as best as we can with the other things life has been throwing at us such as our marriage problems and other fairly large family issues.
