Mine has been pretty great actually. We all slept in until about 9am - bliss! Then we pottered around eating, playing games, reading, a bit of housework (cleaned out the linen cupboard) talked on the phone to my sister in NZ for a couple of hours, had a nap, got up showered and dressed and went to the shops. Even though there were plenty of people there, we were quick to get a carpark and we found everything we wanted straight away inside. The longest wait in a queue was 5 minutes in Coles.

Came home, the kids are watching a dvd, we'll have dinner shortly and head out to look at some Christmas lights!

So how was your day?

Great day!

For the first time since my almost 11 months old DS was born, I went to the city on my own to have a lunch with a friend! I had two glasses of wine  biggrin.gif

So I spent 7 hours away from DS, and 10 without breastfeeding him - was a first! I am happy knowing we are all going to live when I go back to work in 3 weeks.

We went to visit my Nana who is in hospital at the moment.
She will back home on Monday and the problem is not too serious.

She is 94 and still lives alone!!!
Fabulous, her mind is sharp as a tack. Hope I am that good at that age.

Busy! Didn't get home until nearly 4am, slept until 8, up and out shopping until the afternoon. Forgot something in town. Back into town. Got something unrelated. Went home. OH BUGGER. Back into town.

Uuurgh.

Have to get up early tomorrow to do the groceries before Coles explodes with a million people picking up last minute turkeys and custard and whatnot.

Pretty good.  Was out & up at the shops as they opened so the crowds weren't too bad.  Made the desert for Cristmas lunch, wrapped some pressies, visited my parents & then had dinner with the inlaws.

Just got home & am ready to chill.

Good until this evening when we realised that my mum (who is having chemo) has the virus that my DH has. So DH feels beyond terrible, mum is even sicker than she was and we're all hoping like crazy she doesn't have to be in hospital on Christmas Day.

sh*t actually.

My Mum had a colonoscopy early in the week. Multiple polyps, one too large to remove and a suspicious area tattooed for removal in January and then today pap smear results for her = stage 1 cancer.  sad.gif

DD's birthday tomorrow, so happy face to be plastered on.

We all slept in, then had a nice lunch with the inlaws (nicest one ever original.gif). In the afternoon my parents watched the kids while we went to the shops (which were not hellish at all) then I did some packing and cleaning up and then we went to see Christmas lights. All in all a lovely day.

Not too bad. Had a little sleep in, finally chopped down a Christmas tree this morning. DD2 wouldn't sleep in her cot this morning so I had to put her in the ergo so she could rest. Feeding her now then trying to put her down again.

We are also in the midst of a thunderstorm/ hailstorm and the cars are outside sad.gif. Not looking forward to seeing the damage.

CRAP! Actually, that applies to the whole week. DS went to a concert on Monday night and decided to go crowd surfing. He copped an accidental elbow in the stomach. I got a call from the school on tuesday to come and collect him as his stomach had swollen to the size of a football. He spent four days in hospital under observation. turned out to be just bruising and haematoma with no lasting damage. On thursday DH woke up from his nanna-nap with a swollen neck, and I mean hugely swollen (neck currently measures 65 cm), so he was taken to hospital as well. The doctors think he has a leak in his chest cavity that is letting air into the neck area. All they can do is wait until the leak closes itself and the swelling stabilises. This is a by-product of his lung and neck cancer. He will be in hospital over Christmas and the swelling should be gone in about three months!!!!! Anyone who thinks smoking is a good idea is welcome to come and visit him in hospital. I have 13 people descending on me over the next two days - I considered putting them off but I could do with the distraction. And another thing: DS starts work at Macca's with his first shift from 4pm to 8pm on Christmas Day - and the designated driver is.......
Should have put this in Venting! Merry Christmas anyway everyone!

Great.

Up early as we had a 50th in town last night, and DS had nippers down here at the beach at 9am.

We then stayed at the beach from 9 until close to 4 I think. He had a ball. It was hot sitting on the beach, but a nice dip every hour or so solved that problem
