Hi there original.gif

I am looking for some experienced owners to give a little advice.

I have a 2.5 acre property. I am looking at fencing off an acre and dividing it into half for grazing. We intend on rotating the animals between the two paddocks (half acre each) and on occasion will let them come onto the other 1.5 acres.

We are completely inexperienced. I have been doing some research (google biggrin.gif) but have yet to go around to different breeders to speak with them. I was also thinking I should talk to a vet to double check what I've been told by the breeders afterwards before making my decision.

So far I would like to know if this sounds reasonable on the size of land we have to offer. I was considering 2 miniature horses or perhaps 4 alpaca? I would also like to know (roughly) how much per week they end up costing.

I am in Queensland.

Thanks so much! original.gif

How dogs could make children better readers

Issues around children learning to read are rarely out of the news. Which is hardly surprising – becoming a successful reader is of paramount importance in improving a child's life chances. Nor is it surprising that reading creates a virtuous circle: the more you read the better you become. But what may come as a surprise is that reading to dogs is gaining popularity as a way of addressing concerns about children's reading.
