thanks for sharing. the settins feature you mentioned sounds great.. I do alot of handwashing for delicates and that would be a time saver for me. ive comeacross a Samsung 7.5kg on Binglee website whats the model no for the one you have?
This is what we've got:http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/home-ap...804WPC/XSA-spec
Energy rating is 3 and a half stars, water rating 4 and a half stars. We paid less than $800 for it from the Good Guys (I can't buy online as I live in the bush and the amount I would save would be charged anyway for freight).
For most cycles I choose the Daily Wash function which is 55 minutes but I'm pretty sure you can have shorter wash cycles if you want to.
My DH has really dirty work clothes (grease, mud, you name it) and need a longer cycle, so I often put his clothes in the machine at night, set the delay start and they are done by the morning. The delay function is also good because the time you set is not the time the machine starts the washing, but the time you want it to be finished by, so if you want it ready to hang up at 7am, then that's the time you enter. You don't have to work out how long the cycle is, etc.
This is my first front loader after using top loaders my whole life, and I'm so glad I didn't go back to a top loader which uses far too much water and is much harsher on clothes.
