Hello Everyone

Here is my photo this week, not the best shot but I took it from a tram stop just before the tram turned up. I was trying to get 'historic' architecture with 'modern' architecture behind it. We had spent the day in Hawthorn at the Historic Tram Museum located in the old depot which about 10 years ago had modern appartments built in to it as well.

Architecture

When I turned around I saw this house and liked it so I took a photo of it as well.

Would a bird perched on a hand made bird feeder pass as architecture? Lol

I adore architecture photography and spent most of my time in NYC snapping shots of buildings but unfortunately, I can't just pop back there this week for the sake of this weeks challenge .... bugger sad.gif

I was down at the beach Friday night and ended up sitting under the jetty. I was fascinated with how all the bits of timber fit together and how it was weathered and whitewashed. It popped into my head that the trusses etc were architecture and so I quickly snapped this shot. I hope it fits the criteria.

Architecture - Jetty.

Glad to see some entries, I was getting worried!! Will be back online after bedtime in Perth, so will accept entries up til 7pm here....

Righto, here's a run through of all entries:-

Fiestycat - Interesting mix of old and new, I love the arches. The house reminded me of England!

*Ev - great brickwork and you've done well to get straight lines which I find a real challenge in architectural shots!

rbat - love the symmetry in the shot, the leading lines and the lighting. Libraries are a wonderful spot, especially old ones like this

silverwattle - I love old buildings, and this one has certainly seen better days!

Little C - welcome to the challenges! Its a lovely old house, and the B&W works well

raven74 - Not much architecture left! The perspective makes it seem like the rubble is quite a way from the old building, has a story to tell

mummy26 - A very cool bridge, and love the city buildings behind

Peanut - crikey, thought you nipped to Paris for the challenge! I actually love your shot, its thinking outside the box, and was unexpected lol!

~Kee~inHawaii - I love old wooden jetties! Always amazes me how they survive the battering they get in the ocean.

So, without further ado.....

the winner is....
..

..

rbat - just love the library shot, really held my attention :-)
