I was photographing at some salt lakes on Sunday when I spotted a spider on a tree stump. Had the macro lens so took a few shots (had to get quite close, thank goodness it didnt move). When I uploaded I realised the "knobbly back" was actually its babies!!! Urggghhhhh. Its a wolf spider, and they adapt their appearance to the environment, hence it is white because of the salt....
Great detail - there is a photographer I follow on Project 365 who used to take photos almost exclusively of spiders and specifically jumping spiders who look a lot like this - so I am sort of immune to the whole spider thing
Although such a brilliant capture! The 100mm f/2.8 is amazing. I don't have the L but it is hands down my favourite lens. Although for that, I'd have wanted the 180mm!! Do they make 500mm macro lenses?
