Wdyt?
I usually wear black ballet flats most days but I am in love with a brown handbag. I know the black handbag would be better, but the brown bag is delish and is begging me to buy it.
Does it really matter these days?

I think brown bags go ok with black outfits and are better than black bags with brown outfits, so I would probably choose a brown bag.  I also don't think it really matters what colour your bag/shoes is.  You get to carry a handbag instead of a gigantic food-stained sack full of crap, you're doing better than me .... original.gif

My current handbag is bright orange.

I say go with the brown if it makes you happy, don't worry about it matching.

Get the brown bag...
and some brown flats.

Alternatively put a black bow on the brown bag on your black shoe day.

I would get the brown handbag if it's the one you love.

I would always pick black over brown if I was only getting one but if you haven't got a black one picked out just get the brown one.

My current everyday bag is a rust/orange colour. Go for the brown one, black bags are so boring, especially over the warm months.

Mine is Coral colour at the moment. Go brown if you love it. A brown hangbag does go with a black outfit.

I would get the one you love otherwise you will always be thinking about how much you liked it when you carry the black one you got in its place.
I never match shoes to bag and I don't see many who do anymore. As long as it doesn't completely clash with what I have on Id use whatever bag I liked and suited the purpose.

My current handbag is orange, pink and green!  I own no shoes in any of those colours (alas!)

Get the brown one.

My bag is brown, I don't care about matching it.

I have a strong dislike towards black bags, so I'd go brown.

My every handbag is also orange (with black and white trim) at the moment. I usually go with brown or black, but saw this bag and loved it, so I got that one. I have never given a stuff about my handbags matching my shoes or outfit for everyday wear.

Go with the one which you like, forget the whole 'matching' thing.
My fav handbag was bright yellow (sadly its dead now *sniff* and just cannot find one the same shade), then I had a green one, and at the mo I alt between a LV monogram & a red handbag. So clearly I do not match my bags with anything unless its a formal/evening/wedding type thing.

Life is too short to worry about coordinating original.gif

Thanks for your opinions. I'm still undecided.
Btw, zappos is an awesome online shop to check out handbags. They have a short video about each bag.  it is a fantastic way to see the size of each one. I'm on my iPad and haven't worked out how to link to the page, sorry.
Decisions decisions.......

Me too! I would go for brown over black any day. Is it light brown? Caramel? Chocolate brown? Love to see pics.

My current bag is pale grey leather, previous was cream leather. Neutral colours that go with almost everything. I never match my bag to my shoes if I can help it, it looks too try-hard IMHO.

I hope the link works.
Maybe not to other people's taste but I love it.
