Had an awesome raspberry salad dressing whilst on hols and want to try to make one.

It wasn't vinegary at all (have sampled raspberry balsamics but they have a very different flavour).

Anyone have any pointers?  I should point out I'm not a cook/experimenter, I just want something easy to put on top of leafy greens.

Was it raspberry vinegar? It's not super vinegary, because it has sugar added. It's very delicious! original.gif

Was it lumpy?

When I'm making a salad dressing I have a 2parts vinegary 1 part oil + flavouring.

So if I was going to make a raspberry one it'd be:
squished raspberries+ some orange or lime juice for the vinegary bit.
Olive oil for the oil bit
Half a teaspoon of French mustard and a grind of salt for the 'flavour' bit..

It wasn't lumpy, it was a sachet in a packet salad from a supermarket in NZ.  We couldn't find it again sad.gif

Not vinegary at all, just a yummy burst of flavour on the lettuces.

It was a clear pink colour.
