We are currently with GIO but I have always been apprehensive due to their rather large booklet of terms of conditions, and I feel if we ever had to make a claim I think they've given themselves lots of loopholes and it would be hard to claim.
DH is 43 and I am 37. We haven't had to (touch wood) claim on any kind of insurance to date.
We are moving house on Friday and I have been thinking hard about Allianz, but before I call them I'd love recommendations. Not so much the price, but moreso that they will actually pay out; so perhaps positive payout experiences.
I'll be moving both cars and our home and contents to whoever I choose to insure with.
We are moving to a house that if there was a bushfire, we are probably in the worst, most likely to impact, position. So it needs to be a policy that definitely covers bushfire. We also have a large number of gum trees and at a high mountain point, so if there were major winds and storms trees could also be an impact. So we need to have storm damage as well. Obviously flood won't be an issue.
Love your recommendations. I'll be making a call before the day's end! TIA
