Hi. Could anyone recommend a company to have a building inspection, pest inspection or both from the same company in Newcastle please?  We are buying a house and might have found one today but thought we should get this ready to go for when an offer is accepted.

Also, can anyone recommend a solicitor or conveyancer to handle the house purchase?

If therre is anything else I should know, please point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.  Hopefully I've posted this in the correct section for lots of traffic.  biggrin.gif

Hi, recommendations from personal experience:

Building inspector
Craig Hutchinson

Peter Chapman - Chapman Legal

I have used these people several times and highly recommend them.

How dogs could make children better readers

Issues around children learning to read are rarely out of the news. Which is hardly surprising – becoming a successful reader is of paramount importance in improving a child's life chances. Nor is it surprising that reading creates a virtuous circle: the more you read the better you become. But what may come as a surprise is that reading to dogs is gaining popularity as a way of addressing concerns about children's reading.
