Karicare baby formula recall

Parents are being used to stop using Karicare baby formula immediately after authorities confirmed a batch linked to a botulism scare in New Zealand was being stored in Australia.

Why can't they at least tell us the batch number for the batch being 'stored' in Australia. That has apparently 'tested negative'. Another report said this batch wouldn't make it to the shelves. If this is the case then why not just tell us the batch number anyway (as well as the batch number that is supposed to be on a ship somewhere).
