Hi Ladies,

I somehow got lost when they transferred to the new thread.

Hope everyone's going well!

I had meds and finances appointment, and got counselling on Monday, so hopefully not too long before I start a cycle.

Shiv- glad you found us. Sounds like you are on the right track. Hopefully you will start soon!

TCCC- best wishes on Tuesday! Think that's my EPU day also. Bummer you can't have a day off. But maybe keeping busy will help some..

AFM- have another scan tomorrow.. Praying that I have  some more growth tomorrow.. Quality over quantity right!  Still struggling with the side effects and seems the bloating came on over night.. Really hope Tuesday comes soon!

Pinki glad you sound more positive! Best of luck for your scan tomorrow ... Fingers crossed on some growth to give you more comfort. Let us know how you go!

Kat, so sorry to hear. I hope the break helps clear your head and you can decide what next. Thinking of you. x

Pinki, good luck for the next scan. I always have one side that does better than the other and by second scan the worst side is usually a little better, so fingers crossed. Either way though, 8 follies is still a good number and often less leads to better quality, as you know. :)

TCCC, good luck for Tuesday!

Gagingi, how are you going? Hopefully no signs of AF?

Ladies I need some advice ...

What happens once a B/T confirms negative and you have frosties?? Do you wait for AF and then mid cycle around ovulation do a FET??

I'm in the mindset that I now need to start preparing for this. Strongly believe will be the outcome. I'm feeling completely back to normal since starting this cycle and can't help think I would feel at least something

Hi Budkins. It's too early to give up hope! Many many women don't have any symptoms leading up to a BFP so it's not over til it's over. The wait really messes with your head though - you have been so positive up til now!

To answer your question though, it depends on your FS. My FS likes me to wait a full cycle after a  stim cycle before doing a FET. So you get AF, wait a month until next AF, and then transfer a frostie after ovulation on that cycle. I have heard of it happening earlier though, so would all depend on your FS.

But don't give up hope yet!!!!! xx

Ah thanks Elsee!! Ye I know - the process has all gone to plan and been perfect so far will be gutting all to end with BFN but guess mentally trying to prepare myself. that's why everyone talks about the big 2WW I guess!!! xXx

Hi Ladies-- back for more reassurance....

Had my scan today and as I thought there is no growth on the L ovary. Just one dominant follicle so it's suppressing everything on that side. No chance of any of them catching up... And that one may or may not be a cyst..

My right side had 6-7 follicles and were maturing a bit to fast so they switched my meds to slow things down (humog).

Am glad I have those but RE seemed a bit more discouraged and said that its unusual for this to happen. He also wanted to move EPU forward but we can't as DH is away..no chance to come back early..

He had told us that we wouldn't be doing EPU before the 9th. I had asked if DH should have a frozen sample but RE said no and wanted a fresh one.. Kicking myself for not insisting..

Really already feeling like this is a loss.. Worried that pushing it back a day is going to compromise egg quality..

DH doesn't seem to understand that these things happen and that EPU dates can change..

Really trying to stay positive but we seem to loose some due to not mature and fertilization and to make matters more complicated we have to do a freeze all cycle due to my elevated progesterone..

Sorry just need a vent ---

Oh Pinki, that all sounds very stressful. I know that my EPU has been held over by a day or two a couple of times and FS hasn't been at all worried about the eggs overcooking. I had been worried, but he was very reassuring about that. It also presumably gives the smaller eggs a chance to mature? I've noticed with my cycles I get more mature eggs each day EPU is pushed out.

I guess at this point though you need to proceed with EPU to sort out what is going on? Have you had a lap or any other investigations since TTC this time?

It's so much waiting and so stressful.

AFM - I have some symptoms of AF, but don't have other symptoms I'd usually have. There's noting I can do about it now, so just need to wait.

Posted 05 September 2015 - 02:35 PM

Gagingi- thanks for that.. Yes nothing we can do but wait it out.. I've not had a lap done before but everything seemed ok with me. Our problem seemed to be with the sperm meeting the egg as my DH counts well terrible on all accounts.. We were able to overcome that.

This time around it seems to me that the issue is with my hormones and egg quality. Which again we won't know till EPU.. I'm 3 yrs older this time so it's not a big surprise but none the less disappointing..

FX that the improvement with DH counts will overcome my egg issues!

But enough about me.. I've got everything crossed for you and will be saying a little prayer for you tonight! Its so your turn xxxx

Thanks Pinki, you're a sweetheart. I'm going nuts and DH isn't getting it! I know he is trying, but no matter how I try to explain it, he just isn't catching on. I've got to go to the newsagent today and it's beside the chemist, so I'm debating whether to get a HPT. It wouldn't make any difference as I need to wait for AF/BT anyway. My AF is shockingly reliable for a person with PCOS, so the knicker watching has begun. Grhh!

I wouldn't have thought at 35 your age would be a big issue. My FS has said that each cycle can vary dramatically and I've got double the numbers on my second and third cycle. Are you just wanting one more?

#88 Elsee

Posted 05 September 2015 - 05:53 PM

Pinki, sounds like you've got a lot to cope with right now, and with DH away too. Hang in there. x. I can tell you all the stuff about it only takes one, but you already know that, and it really doesn't stop you stressing at the time, so I am just wishing you all the best and hoping things work out for you this cycle. Time will tell.

Gagingi, I don't think I'd be able so stop myself doing a HPT now. My fingers are crossed tightly for you!

#89 pinki

Posted 05 September 2015 - 07:09 PM

Gagingi- oh wow that's soo tempting!! Don't know that I could have that strength to pass it up! I'd make DH go or buy the stick and let him hold on to it till I was ready..

DH's are impossible some times.. Mine likes to say whatever will be, will be!  Like that's very helpful..

I'm actually 39. Does my signature keep showing up? I though I turned that thing off.. Sorry

Yes I really would like one more.. or two even but I guess whatever will be will be!

Elsee- thanks for thinking of me.. All I can do is hang on. At least by this time next week it will all be sorted out...

HI ladies,

how is everyone travelling?

gagingi - fingers are crossed for you.
shiv - its exciting to get the ball rolling isnt it?
pinki - keep staying positive and i think your in the right place to vent! :)

update.....i am recovering well after my lap, thye still found severe endo which has developed in under a year since last lap and cysts on both ovaries removed , specialist is keen to get ivf started for us. I have to wait a few weeks for healing but start provera in 10 days to prepare my lining and so they can control when to bring on my period. I received our timetable which was exciting and start injections early October. Have had all our appointments with the nurses and accounts etc, so far everyone has been lovely which is nice!

#91 pinki

Posted 06 September 2015 - 12:54 PM

Jaeh-good to hear you are on the mend and hopefully the lap will make all the difference! Injection day will be here before you know it :)

Gagingi- woke up thinking of you! Wondering if you bought a test.. No pressure here :)))

Hope everyone else is doing well...

AFM- after spending most of the night on dr Google and having a few " therapeutic " crying fits I'm feeling better..  These hormones will not get the best of me!! My new motto is " its out of my control" which is difficult for a control freak but there really is nothing I can do it change about this cycle.. All I can do is hope;)

#92 Buddkins

Posted 06 September 2015 - 01:27 PM

Pinki glad your feeling more positive. Being a control freak myself all I do is Google stuff!!!!!

Gagingi thinking of you also!! What did you decided? You have come through your 2WW and the day is finally here tomorrow ... How you feeling? Pray for the best result for you.

Jaeh glad your well and now have focus for the start of a cycle!!! Hopefully the wait doesn't feel too long for u!

AFM well finally after 3 weeks my DH has finally returned!!!!!! So elated. Because he returned and being Father's Day I wanted to welcome him home with the best gift so I did a test but BFN ... 4dp5dt .... I know it's early but hung on to that glimmer of hope. When does it no longer become too early for HPT???

Ha and pinki you thought I would last until day 9!! I, terrible!!! Il be testing everyday now until 14th!

Buddkins- HAHA! Day 4! Love it but yes it's still to early! Found this for you.

This is what happens in a 3 day transfer:

1 day post transfer - embryo is growing and developing
2  days post transfer - Embryo is now a blastocyst
3 days post transfer - Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4 days post transfer - Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5 days post transfer - Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6 days post transfer - Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7 days post transfer - Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &  fetal cells
8 days post transfer - Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9 days post transfer - More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10 days post transfer - More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11 days post transfer - HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

This is what happens in a 5 day (blastocyst) transfer:

1 day post transfer - Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2 days post transfer - Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3 days post transfer - Implantation begins, as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4 days post transfer - Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5 days post transfer - Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
6 days post transfer - Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7 days post transfer - More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8 days post transfer - More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9 days post transfer - HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

Haha I know! Thanks for that gives me some piece of mind that there is still a chance. Pretty much ruled it out  as feel back to normal and no symptoms aside from tender breast which happens for AF doesn't it. Will just have to continue with the wait and see what the next week brings! Saw on another feed that one of the girls got a faint line 6dp5dt ... Did you do any HPT with your successful cycle in the past?

#95 pinki

Posted 06 September 2015 - 02:41 PM

yes I'm a cheater!! I did it on day 7 of my 3 day fresh cycle and it was a BFN.. That was a very long week and sad day for Beta.. But think it helped lessen the blow..

On my FET which was also a 3 day I tested the morning before beta and the only reason I did was that it was Mother's Day..  It was a total shock I really didn't have any hope of it working and the only symptoms was major AF like cramps..

Not sure what I'll do this go.. Just praying I will have something to transfer!

#96 Gagingi

Posted 06 September 2015 - 03:02 PM

I finally caved and did a FRER and got a BFN. Then AF started just to punctuate that result. DH still wants me to have BT tomorrow, which I will, but know I'm out.

We now need to decide whether to do another cycle with current FS who we really like, or try the super guru FS. If we don't try the super guru and don't have any luck with current FS then I know I'll regret it, but we'd so hoped we'd have success with current FS who is also obstetrician. So hopefully we can get ourselves sorted and go again at the beginning of October.

Baby dust to all. xo

Oh Gagingi, that's so unfair. I really thought this one would be your cycle with things going so well up til now. hugs for you, and thinking of you and your DH as you figure out your next steps. Maybe there's a flicker of hope for tomorrow...??? xx

oh gagingi, that sucks! no idea re the FS vs Guru VS.

Pink- thanks for the transfer info.

AFM- im still around just hiding away from things. got af friday 5 days early for me, so I've started my cycle of nothing. they've now decided that instead of next cycle being a thaw FET cycle we will do a trial cycle of clomid and test my progesterone 7 days post "ovulation" and then the next month we will do a FET. feeling frustrated that the FET just keeps getting pushed further and further back. they were going to let me have a complete natural cycle, but i countered with a 60+ day cycle is of no benefit which is what they told me when we first started. so they have now said i can start progesterone on day 21 to induce a period and then trial cycles start.

baby dust to all

Omg G no way!!!!!!!! So sorry to hear that really am. You seem to be focusing on what next and I hope you work out a plan soon. Very impressed with your positivity and keeping going good on you

Thanks Elsee. I think with a negative HPT, plus AF all hope is lost for this cycle (I'm 13DP3DT).  I still feel that the first cycle was our closest and wish I'd got a BT as that might have identified chemical, so now I'd always get BT.  I was so hopeful this cycle - somehow for the next cycle I have to suspend hope and ignore Crinone "symptoms".
