Welcome redflower, and congratulations.

It still feels very unreal for me too. I think the 12w scan will make a difference for a lot of us.I hope things continue to be well for you mcbubba.

Congrats on your 12w scan mummaduck.it must be very exciting.

Nausea has been much better this week, thankfully. I worked a 12 hour day yesterday and woke up absolutely exhausted this morning. I thought I would have to stay late today, but fortunately could leave early. Was too tired to be particularly productive and thankfully can sleep in tomorrow.

I'm trying not to worry, had a little bleeding again today. Will see how it goes to see if I should go to emergency and get a scan.

Hopefully, this is like the last bleed. Last time everything was fine on the scan and we saw the heartbeat.

I hate that this keeps happening, its so stressful.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend.
Ive done too mu h today I think. Hubby working all weekend so on top of  leani g the house incl bathrpom, i also mowed the lawns and did weeding plus the groceries.i am officially exhausted now! I cant believe how fatigued I feel just from doing this. Must learn to take it a little easy now I guess.
My jeans felt snug today. Wont be long now and ill be out of regular clothes.

I found the same thing yesterday. Did some running around at a family lunch (helping out with food, cleaning up etc.) and felt wiped and awful by the evening...can't believe how exhausted I'm getting.

Morning sickness still lingering and making me feel crap! Can't wait for it to end, I'm 9+1 today so hoping its on the decline soon.

After all the stress about the bleeding, my OB was great - got me in within 30 mins of my call.

We went straight to the scan machine, bubs was measuring right got 9 weeks, good fetal heart rate, again no visible cause for bleeding.

He said to come in if the bleeding continues but reassured me at this point, miscarriage risk is low.

I'm breathing a sigh of relief and counting down till the 12 week scan.

I'm m hanging out for 12 week scan too! Mi e is scheduled for Aug 18 but I do have my first OB appt on Aug 3 and she'll do a scan then too. So much waiting 🙄

Yep pregnancy is just waiting and appointments!

#107 Wonderstruck

Posted 25 July 2016 - 06:36 PM

My 12 week scan is 14 Aug so just ahead of you.

I'm loving the fact that OB does scans each time, more opportunities to see bubs!

Will be nice when the late Feb people all get past 12 weeks

I agree. My due date is 22 Feb but my dating scan says 25 Feb. Off to GP tonight to discuss scan results and plan 12 week scan. Im starting to think I will have the 12 week scan just to be prepared in case. I wasnt i itially wanting to do it. The more people I speak with, however, I feel Im the only one who didnt feel it is necessary. DH is his usual supportive self, so it is up to me to decide.
My GP also thinks I have developed a heart murmur... so Im off to have and echo on Friday. Im petrified that it is purely weight related.

Will let you know how it goes.

#109 Wonderstruck

Posted 26 July 2016 - 09:05 AM

Fingers crossed things go well with the heart specialist. My mum has a murmur and other than monitoring every now and then it doesn't cause her any issues (she's also stick thin so nothing to do with weight so it may not be for you either) I think she just has dodgy valves everywhere (bad veins etc.)

With the 12 week scan, for me, its mostly unnecessary as my embryo had a stack of genetic testing but my OB said a 12 week scan is a good idea just to check on bubs and to check for a few other things anyway.

I'm still having the combined test - bloods and scan but unlikely to have the harmony test/genesyte.

I'm mainly seeing 12 week scan as a good chance to check on bubs and get some photos that look like a baby not a blob like my dating/early pregnancy scan.

It's amazing how quick they grow, at 7+3 they couldn't get a picture on an external scan but at 9+1 we could see bubs clearly on an external and apparently it had arm and leg buds and was moving - the OBs machine is pretty old though so it was rather hard to see.

I guess it depends on if you feel the scan will cause you more stress or you're happy to have it and go with the flow.

Good luck with the decision.

Anyone else over feeling sick and tired all the time? I'm 9+2 and really hoping it lets up soon

Hi everyone,

Still feeling tired, as time is marching on, I feel I need to consider practical things like exactly how much maternity leave I want to take, and child care options.

My husband has been offered a new job at another company - more pay, less hours. Only downside is they don't have flexible hours like his current job. So now it's time to think about what to do when my maternity leave finishes.

I think the next 6 months are going to go very quickly!

#111 Wonderstruck

Posted 28 July 2016 - 08:57 PM

It's always a hard decision with work.

I hate the stuck feeling I have now as I'm not entirely happy but its for a good cause.

Time is ticking slowly for me. Just want to get to 12 weeks already...I want to be public already lol!

I hope the heart murmur turns out to be nothing serious. A previous Dr thought that they heard a heart murmur, but the ecg showed nothing. Fingers crossed it was just an overly cautious Dr.

I hope your bleeding has stopped McBubba, that must be really frightening

#113 Wonderstruck

It has stopped for now. I'm not convinced it will reoccur but OB isn't too worried.

#114 Wonderstruck

Its so quiet in here...

No more spotting at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if I have a little more based on my track record and the fact that DH and I BD on Wednesday...it was the first time I felt well enough and not too scared to do so. DH has been great about it. The last time before that was when we first found out as I didn't feel sick or bleed then.

I think my nausea is starting to settle a little. Had an awful nausea day on Tuesday but the rest of the week was an improvement.

I had a killer migraine yesterday and somehow trying to take prenatal vitamins caused me to throw up...first time in the pregnancy.

I'm off to a maternity sample sale to suss out clothes. I'm only 9+6 but the sale is on now so its worth a look. I only have a tiny bump but given I'll be big in summer I'll mainly needed dresses and stretchy tops etc. I'd  also love a pair of maternity jeans for casual work days and some work clothes as they're the things getting tight...

Getting excited now for my 12 week scan and finally being able to be public! 2 weeks to go...

Still don't really feel like I can say I'm pregnant yet even though I feel sick etc!

How's everyone else going?

#115 mirandarine

It is very quiet. Hopefully because everyone is doing well and nothing to report?!

Glad to her no more spotting at thia stage McBubba.  Lets hope this continues.
A new job for hubby sounds exciting MrsB83. Changes in your house with bubba and a new  job :-)

I had the echo yesterday. The woman who did the scan had a mouth like she had sucked a lemon unfortunately. Zero bed manner and zero info.

Will wait two weeks until I see the GP for the results.

I feel completely normal this week. If I wasnt getting up to pee twice/three times a night I wouldnt feel lregnant at all. Naturally I am catastrophising (is that a word?!)the lack of symtptoms to equate to a missed miscarriage. I am anxious for the 12 weeks scan. My GP insists that it is done at 13 weeks though?! Gah! Another weeks wait then.

Our house is partway through a renovation and we have to refinance to complete it. I am putting pressure on DH to get this arranged asap as the next phase is likely to take 6-9 months. He is a perpetual delayer though... this is driving me insane!

Happy weekend x

I'm the same. If I start to feel better I freak out things are not ok. My scan is in 2 weeks and its going to drag.

Won't be long and the whole DIG will be past that point?

How is everyone doing?

Im 11weeks tomorrow. Really feeling pregs today. Belly muscles feel like they are expanding and the organs are moving. I was feeling a little breathy when talking and walking today. Starting to feel real :-)

#118 Wonderstruck

So glad someone is still here. I'm a day behind you and 11w Sunday. Feeling more real as I inch closer to the 12w scan...just want to announce already!

Had a thyroid check at 10w and levels are good now. Next check for thyroid at 17 weeks, here's hoping it behaves.

Had an awful ms day today but I think it is slowly improving, hoping it improves more as we get to 12 weeks.

Getting a little more bloated and have bought some nice work gear at Angel Maternity which doesn't look too maternity like.

Hope everyone is going well and crossing fingers the 12 week scans go well all around.

#119 mirandarine

Posted 08 August 2016 - 07:55 AM

My thyroid is having some moments of struggle I believe. I have moments when it feels swollen and tender. Im waiting for my next endo appt on the 22nd (13 weeks 2 days) to see what he says. I havent had to increase my thyroxine yet (on 100mcg). I do expect that I will need to at my next appt.

I was so fatigued over the weekend. Saturday was a write off really. I sat on the lounge all day as I had no energy to move. Sunday I went to my daughters gymnastics competition for 4hrs and promptly came home for a midday sleep. I never do that. I just knew my body needed it. Im not certain if that is directly pregnancy only or the impact on my thyroid. At this time, Im leaning toward the latter.

#120 Wonderstruck

Posted 08 August 2016 - 08:09 AM

It's hard to say. I'm still exhausted with good thyroid levels but I find the ms exhausting. Here's hoping your levels fet sorted soon.

I just had the bloods ahead of my NT scan next Monday.

I'm hoping at 11+1 that the nausea settles soon and I get some energy back.

#121 Wonderstruck

I feel like this is doomed to happen every 2 weeks and as soon as I finally relaxed and accept I am UTD.

Red/pink when wiping today - it has happened every 2 weeks since 7w.

I am so over this happening as I try not to stress :(

I've rung my OB and he can scan me on Wednesday (he could do tomorrow but not in the city and its too hard to arrange around work).

I hope its all o.k. and I suppose the upside is a sneak peak at bubs before 12w scan but I still have to try not to stress between now and Wednesday morning.

#122 mirandarine

Oh McBubba, how stressful and trying on you. I have everything crossed for a benign reason for the blood. I'm sure all will be ok. Xo

#123 Mummaduck8

Hope everything is ok mcbubba!
It's worrying whe you see blood. Hopefully the scan shows all good.

Almost 15 weeks now. Still have 24/7 nausea and sickness. I'm still taking tablets but they don't make it go away. Hoping it eases soon.
Still feeling tired too!

Felt few flutters lately too. Looking forward to feeling proper movements too.
And counting down to 20 week scan! Can't wait to find out if it's a second boy or s little girl. I don't mind either way as long as everything is ok.

Hope everyone is going ok

How are you today McBubba? Im thinking of you.

Mymmaduck the constant nausea must be so exhausting. Fingers crossed that subsides very soon. My last pregnancy was plagued by m/s until 16 weeks then it dissapeared. Here is hoping its the same for you!

Im doing pretty well on that front this time. I have a dreadful gag reflex to smells and some sights (gross man on the train today with snot running onto the pie he was eating?!!!! Blergh!!!!) I had to change carriages before I saw my breakfast ;-) otherwise, no nausea. Im counting myself lucky.

I found out today that my SIL is also due in Feb! DH shared our news with them and wveryone cried with tears of joy. We have decided to tell the ILs together via skype (they are in Canada) next week post my scan. So excited. Heres hoping we both have smooth pregnancies.

Feeling good this morning...

All fine with OB today - I was much more relaxed knowing this has happened several times before (stupid minor unexplained bleeds).

It was pretty cool. OB's machine is pretty ancient but bubs was actually moving and kicking around. It had little arms and legs - pretty cool at 11w3d.

OB was not at all worried yet again.

Starting to get excited now, it looks like a baby and 12 w scan is a few short days away! Can't wait till Monday!!!
