It's funny, but I agree with most of the Green's policies on a National basis, but the personal policies of the local candidate weren't what I needed. To be honest, not any one candidate would have represented me - the career politician in the Nationals, the local guy giving it a go for Labor, "intellectual" for the Xenophon party, no-profile Independent, and we won't mention the other 2.

Nationals won again in possibly the safest Nationals seat in the country - despite an almost 9% swing against. Unfortunately I think most of the people who voted for the Liberal Democrats candidate thought they were voting Liberal Party (he got over 6
% of the primary) - if not I despair for the future.

In good news, Greens were 4% up on last election, and Labor 2%.

Looking forward to another 3 years of nothing happening in my electorate because we are not marginal.
I will continue my current (losing) campaign of trying to make people at least think about who they're voting for.
