The excitement for me is the senate. Have long resigned myself to doom and gloom in the lower house.

Will they count the senate all night? Being in a different time zone might actually be exciting...

Agree Frightbat.  The senate is a bit unpredictable - how much is the exhaustable vote going to make a difference.  It has never been possible to avoid the majors before but now it is.

Hung parliament! And Pauline Hanson in the Senate, unfortunately.

You really think she'll get into the Senate?

Double dissolution, so she only needs half the quota of a normal election. The Senate could end up even more ragtag than before.

Now, that is scary!

With Eden-Monaro looking like it going to alp, I still think that the Libs won't get back in. It may be a case of alp doing a deal though.

For a few minutes there the ABC tally was saying labor ahead by 1!

Maybe we'll get another hung parliament.

Yeah, I think our best hope is that she is only in for half a term.

Is Eden Monaro still a bellweather?

How arrogant was Scott Morrison on the ABC. The scoffing and interrupting and the crossing his arms. What an utter douche.

Nup, bell weather since the early 70's (I want to say 72)

Going to go against the grain and say ALP win by a nose.

I am feeing optimistic again. It's either my faith in the Australian public coming back or the two glasses of sangria I have had.

Must be the sangria.

I'm calling it for the ALP. I think they might do it. I wonder who will be next Lib leader.
