Glad to hear you're feeling better crombeck. I've got a GP appt on Friday but will ring tomorrow to see if there's any earlier cancellations. I'd like to get the ball rolling early given the complications in my last pregnancy. I'm going to go with the same private OB as for DS.

I've been feeling uncomfortably nauseous the last 2 days. I'm a bit worried as I'm only about 4+1ish and I didn't get sick until 6wks last time. I ate an earlier breakfast today though and I'm feeling less nauseous so far!

Fretful mum-4w3d here, and I'm only getting twinges off feeling off. But my MS didn't hit until 6 weeks with my first. I think it's going to be fine!!

How is everyone travelling?

Booked my OB today, just twiddling thumbs and waiting for her to call back with an appointment time. I'm like hurry upppppp. lol

Saw my GP today, she congratulated me & asked whether I'd told my mum yet 😂.

Got a referral for an early ultrasound but when I rang they said not to come in until 6 weeks unless I experience ectopic symptoms.

Also asked her about the NIPT, she had heard of it but never done a referral before! I'm pretty keen as (and I know this sounds callous) I want lots of time to make any decisions as I'm just not sure I'm cut out to be a mother of 3 with the youngest having significant issues.

Fairly sure I will go public this time, I live regional & I really don't think I got much benefit second time around. We all deliver at the public hospital, then they transfer you to the private. If it's not full, which it was last time. So I got slugged with a $101 co-payment for being private in a public hospital grrr.

My OB finally called, doesn't want to do an ultrasound until closer to 8 weeks! I'm like ugghhhhh. Okay! Lol. I tried to swing earlier but she wasn't having a bar of it. :p

Me too! I'm not having one until about 7 and a half weeks. The waiting is driving me nuts! I feel like once I see that heartbeat I'll be much happier

I asked my GP to not run a blood HCG test and she was fine with that, just made me take a urine pregnancy test in her office.

I've been feeling so crummy all weekend, and now today. So tired, nauseous, so thirsty, and really bloated. I've got the day off today and I fell asleep watching The Great British Bakeoff. I also feel really off my food, but if I don't eat I feel more nauseous so I'm trying to make myself

Crombek - my GP was really excited for me too, which was sweet. She knew about our meetings with the FS, of course.

Has you guys told anyone apart from their DH? I called my parents and they were both thrilled, and we told the inlaws when they were over this weekend. MIL started crying and was so excited

Yea, I got my HCG back today, from 3w5d week it was 222. at 4 weeks it was 389, but not doubling every 48 hours like they wanted. I spent a fretful 5 days waiting for next blood test at 4w5d and now it's 4295!! I was and still am, thrilled!!!

Not told anyone yet. I don't think we will until mid October. I'm not so keen, I'm a bit of a private person, and both my mum and DH's mum kept touching my stomach despite my insistence not to.

I wanted to not say anything until 6 months bc I didn't show until then last time, but DH says no we have to tell them after 12 weeks but before 4 months.

I'm just a private person by nature. lol

Great news about all your appts crombek, madness & beanette! I couldn't move mine earlier so friday it is. I'll be about 5wks then. The only person I've told other than DH is my closest friend. I think we'll tell my parents and in-laws after my 7wk scan. Unless I'm feeling too sick & I need help looking after DS earlier I guess. Again felt bleurgh this morning, even after eating small amounts consistently I had to take a zofran otherwise I would have puked at the shops.  Why has this nausea started SO early!!

I told my parents tonight, so my husband told his. And then I told my sister who is going through a tough time. Lol, no pressure for this to be a sticky baby at all...

Beanette, my GP doesn't ask for hcg either in bloods, she didn't even get me to pee on a stick! Said the home one was good enough for her & hcg was only useful if I was going to do repeat blood tests.

Madness I could never be that tight lipped! I'm terrible at secrets lol.

Sorry to hear you are so sick already Fretfulmum. Twins? Hehe

No more nausea for me, just an ongoing metallic taste & a bit tired. It seems that things have changed since my last go around & initial bloods now include fasting glucose. Ull try to get that done by the end of the week but it's going to make scheduling a time a bit difficult.

Just went to the bathroom and noticed that I've got some beige/brown CM. I'm so scared that I'm miscarrying again, feel like I'm going to vomit. I know that there's nothing to do but wait, but this feels like a nightmare.

deep breaths beanette, brown is old blood. did you DTD recently that might have irritated the cervix?

You can visit your GP and ask for a blood test to monitor HCG levels and see if there is anything to be concerned about and get progesterone levels checked.

Hopefully it's just brown blood. bleeding is normal in pregnancy, it doesn't make it easier when seeing it though!

sending you hugs and positive vibes.

Popping in to say hang in there Beanette. No harm in checking in with your doctor. If you're in the early stages they may offer to run a HCG test over a few days but it depends if they think it will tell you much.

Just remember, if you recall from TTC threads I had RED bleeding at 7w followed by 2 days of brown spotting and red spotting at 9w and 11w. Each time I had not DTD or anything to suggest a cause for the bleeding.

Each time I had a scan bubs was happily bobbing away and there was no visible cause for bleeding. I stressed less each time due to my experience the time before.

It is very scary and normal to worry. I just want to try and help you relax as I know how stressful it is.

Bleeding seems to be more common that most of us think!

I'm out. Was just an Evap line, wasn't going to post a reply but I saw your post Beanette. I had that happen to me with DD2. Brown blood is quite common. Mine turned into a bit more of a bleed later on but DD2 is a lovely healthy 15 month old now.
I did have an early scan to check.  The sonographer looked more scared than I did when she read the referal for an early scan was due to bleeding. But there was a heart beat and I had a few scans after than to keep an eye on her because I kept bleeding.
Lots of pregnancies bleed in the early stages. Keep an eye for cramps or fresh blood. And see you GP for a scan.

Big hugs!!! Blowing lots of sticky dust you way ladies! May next year is going to be lovely xx

Maybe317,

I'm sorry you're out! :(

I just saw your other post, I don't know how I missed my name there! I was in the Dec 2011 DIG and TTC #2 forums. You wouldn't be from any of those?

Thanks guys, I'm really stressing because this is how my MC started last time - a little bit of brown CM, then full blown MC bleeding the next day.

There was only a tiny bit on the paper after I wiped, so I checked my cervix and there was a little bit on the end of my finger. I've been to the bathroom a few times since then and there's no more. We haven't had sex in ages, so I don't think its from that. Just crossing my fingers and hoping it doesn't turn into anything

Thinking of you Beanette! If it's any consolation I had a major bleed at 9wks with DS (and ongoing spotting) but it all resolved on its own (sub chorionic haematoma).

Beanette hang in the thinking positively and sprinkling that baby dust for you!

Is anyone else feeling meh... I haven't been sick to say but just meh I think this is what people refer to as bloating?? I've never experienced this... I fell full even after eating the smallest lunch the only way to get rid of it is to lie down and go to sleep ....

Defiantly feeling sleepier these days which isn't healing with my studying for the exam in 2 days ... Study sleep eat study sleep eat repeat

Hi everyone! Cautiously happy to be joining you all with a due date in first week of May. AF isn't due till tomorrow but got a faint line last night at 12DPO and a strong one this morning, after a few months of trying. I'm still BF my 14 month old and AF only returned recently so this is welcome news for us. Nice to meet you all and look forward to getting to know you all some more. Oh and congrats to everyone! Xxx

Hello CheesieElise, welcome!!!

5 weeks today. Not -feeling- pregnant despite sore boobs and weird pressure on the lower stomach. I did have waves of nausea. I don't know how much more pregnant you can feel with those symptoms! I guess I'm having trouble letting myself get massively excited.

How are you beanette? Hope all is well today and you
Didn't get any more discharge?

I had two small light brown spots on my underwear this morning, so I checked my cervix and it's just mucous-y and not actually blood, if that makes sense. I'm just hoping it's from my little bean burrowing in still - really trying to be positive but I've been crying all morning. Since I don't have any HCG results, the GP said that there isn't really much point doing some now, unless I really want to.
Hoping that today gives me an answer, the waiting is so horrible.

Welcome ChessieElise xx

Fingers crossed for you Beanette.

Madnesscraves I'm not feeling much either now that I'm not sick. Just get full quite quickly & the metallic taste at times.

Welcome ChessieElise!

I'm still feeling really cautious & not getting my hopes up until I see a hb when I go for my scan. It's weird, but I'm feeling like any day I stay pregnant is a bonus in itself. Im finding that really helpful for controlling my anxiety about loss

Hi everyone,

I am tentatively joining this group for the moment, and keeping my fingers crossed,
5 weeks today, due on May 3rd (or thereabouts)

I originally had a BFP in July, but had to have a D&C on 24/07 due to an incomplete miscarriage, HCG was back down to <10 a week later and everything was slowly getting back to normal
but, early last week had another BFP, went to the GP on Wednesday 24/08 and HCG was 128, went back to the GP Monday 29/08 and HCG was 1443 so steadily rising,
there was no period in between so i am really not too sure of dates, but will have a dating scan late next week to try and firm up dates.
I am as nervous as hell, getting alot of period pain, but Dr Google assures me this is normal, this is #2 for me and i really can't remember what i was like when i was early pregnant with DD (IYGWIM)

Going back to the GP today to get the OB referral and ultrasound paperwork, don't really feel pregnant, just feel sick if i don't eat,
and, my GP is going away today for 2 weeks so i really can't do any additional HCG bloods to check it all out
Anyhow - that is all my info, Hang in there Beanette!
Madness i recognize your name from the TTC group, wonderful that you are here!
Heres hoping i can to sitck out the next 9 months and beyond with you guys
x

Welcome Chel085!! Great HCG numbers.

I'm off to the GP today for my OB referral too. It occurred to me I had nothing to back up my claim of pregnancy. the clinic did all the BT and confirmed pregnancy but they said to get the GP to do the referral because it lasts longer than a specialists does.

Hopefully my word is enough!!

Beanette, I hope your HCg numbers come back good.I am sure it will be fine. Hang in there and keep positive and busy as you can!

Welcome Chel085! Same EDD as me and Madness :)

My brown CM has stopped, and I'm hoping that's the last I'll see of it. I spent all of yesterday bracing for the worst, but it never got heavy and it was only there when I checked my cervix, none on my underwear or toilet paper. Can't wait for my scan on the 19th - seems like a lifetime away!

ETA: Madness, your GP might just take your word for it (my one did last time, and I had to ask for HCG bloods) or they could get you to POAS in their office so make sure you have a "sample" to give just in case :p

Beanette! I'm glad to hear the discharge has stopped. My scan isn't until the 20th it feels like forever away!

GP took my word, but then at the last minture before handing over the referral she asked for a pee sample! Said she wanted to make sure there was no protein in the urine (existing high BP)
Got more blood tests to make sure everything is at the right levels and now to wait to see my OB on the 20th. Upside of the wait is she doesn't require me to drink before ultrasound, just don't pee an hour before, so I won't drink an hour before
