Hi everyone, I was taking elevit for years while TTC and during pregnancy and now 4 weeks post partum have run out. I am not breastfeeding but want to take a multivitamin to help top up any vitamins i might not be getting enough of as my diet isn't as balanced as it should be at the moment whilst juggling a new born.

Is there a good brand to take or is it best to continue taking the elevit?

thanks for your help

I heard Blackmores is good too. You are right; balanced diet is particularly important post pregnancy as the body is already strained. Moreover, lactation is extremely energy consuming, making the nutrient requirement higher than usual.  However mostly of the times it is neglected as we are already over busy with our newborns.

Even if you are not breastfeeding, it is common that you don’t get a time to prepare a well balanced diet that is full of nutrition. Choose specially formulated brand focusing on postnatal health, including vitamin B6, folic acid and calcium. Be sure you buy only quality brands.
