Hope your oestrogen picks up EmbryoAgogo! Balancing work is a juggling act, we all need circus training for it.

Welcome back trying again, shally and b0rn2love! FX for you!

Birdie, please take my AF! It was due 26th, but no signs of it arriving as yet.

Glad your pick up went well Kel! Enjoy your cruise!

Almost got myself a HPT yesterday when I was getting more support meds, but decided to get ice cream instead... my BT is Thursday... just doing busy work to keep my mind busy. This is my first frozen cycle, my others were all fresh, so I don’t know what’s going on…

Thats exciting Kel, congrats on your 3 blasties! Great timing for a cruise, enjoy!!

Nearly there Bella, you're doing brilliantly! Roll on Thursday!!!

Any sign Birdie?

thanks Jo!! My bloods on Monday showed still too low oestrogen, so back on Thursday.. I've been pretty regular since stopping BF so of course this is the cycle that's suddenly dragging out! I'm going to have to learn much better patience than this to survive the 2wws!!

Have a good sane week everyone xxx

BFN yesterday. Devastated 😔.
Cd32 now which is annoying as my cycle is normally 25 days. Off to Bali on Monday with my mum so we are having a break for a while. Probs back towards the middle of the year.

Oh I'm so sorry Birdie. Bad news days are the worst. Take care and enjoy your trip away.

Really bummed for you.

I finished my Provera on Saturday and no sign of AF yet. Day 63ish(?) of cycle. So over it. I'm sure it'll turn up sometime - I'll give FS's nurses a buzz if nothing by Monday next week.

Aw Birdie, I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you enjoy your trip and take care of yourself.

Baking, gosh 63 days!! Ugh. I hope AF turns up asap! It's terrible right, when we want AF to turn up, it doesn't, and when we furiously hope she stays away there she is!

I'm waiting for AF too.....to start the third IVF cycle, and the days can't go fast enough. I've had my meds in the fridge for what seems like forever

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies :)

I'm currently cd18 on my fet cycle. I had a medicated one on gonal-f and finally got the call yesterday that I was ready to trigger today. So pregnyl trigger done this morning and my transfer is next wednesday. Also start progesterone pessaries tonight.

I've been having horrible cramps all day from the trigger, kinda like epu pains. I'm hoping they settle down and wednesday gets here real soon. I have a slight concern because I'm having transfer then going straight to work. But I'm not doing anything special for this transfer, what will be will be.

Good news Ksout. I'm sure you'll be fine going to work post transfer. I had to take the day off completely because of a complicated PR issue but I was physically fine and could have gone to work.

I had terrible cramps from my pregnyl trigger last cycle too. They eventually settled down but were pretty rough for a couple of days. I don't think it matters that you're going back to work. I always take the whole day off but that's because it's been easier for me to just be sick for the whole day than to explain why I was absent for a few hours.

Hope the next few days go quickly for you :)

All my other cycles I've taken the day off and obviously it didn't work lol. So I figure this time I'll just carry on with life as usual. I work an afternoon shift starting at 11.30am and they've said my transfer will be between 10-12 so I'll just go in a bit late :) I've got a desk job so nothing strenuous.

The cramps eased off last night, still having that slightly full uncomfortable feeling though. I think that will disappear over the weekend.

This probably seems like a no brainer but I'm guessing BD is out of the question on the weekend. Honestly i'm willing to risk it if hubby is in the mood (which doesn't happen very often with his testosterone issues), I'm not concerned about accidentally ending up with a double success because let's be real it's been over 2 years of trying everything and it hasn't worked haha. It would have to be billions to one odds that it would work twice in the space of a week.

The nurses didn't mention anything.

Hi Ladies,

Thought I'd jump in and say hello again, I'm on CD15 have an US tomorrow to see what's going on in there. Took a while to get my estrogen levels up to a point to even have the US so fingers crossed there's a follicle in there!!

Ksout I've thought of BD'ing as well, it would have to be tonight for any chance of catching the egg as you should be ovulating today. How many follicles did you have? I usually have at least two with the embryo so wouldn't chance trips. Although you could one up Beyonce if you got that :)

Baking, my first round of Provera it took me 10 days to get the AF, so annoying!!

Bella and Birdie so sorry about the BFN's :(

Shally hope AF comes soon.

Jo, hope you're enjoying the time off cycling.

Sorry if I missed anyone else!!

I haven't had a scan they've just been monitoring my bloods. I was on a super low dose just enough to get me stimulated to ovulate cos I don't do it on my own.

I really don't think there's a billion eggs in there at all. That's why I'm not too worried if we happen to BD. Not planning to obviously but if it happens well so be it.

Hi Again Everyone

There are so many familiar names here from last time and I feel like I am back to where I was two years ago.

I know I am going to miss a lot of people but my FX for all of you and I hope things work...EmbryoAgogo looks like we are on a very similar schedule as well which is nice :)

AFM Well I had my second set of bloods this morning and have been told to go for my US on Monday as well as my bloods...fingers crossed I have my frostie transfer at the end of next week.

Hope the US go well ladies and that we all have good weekends...

And I wouldn't hesitate to BD if you feel in the mood Ksout. If you get a double, then you'll have a good story, I suppose!

I'm thinking of changing clinics next round. Has anyone done this before? Jumped ship from one clinic to another? I've done two rounds with my current but am starting to feel like they aren't meeting my needs - emotionally and physically.

#91 furbaby

Posted 04 February 2017 - 12:34 PM

I switched Birdie. But more for changing doctors than moving clinic. I didn't have any embryos to move so was super easy. Just confirmed with new doc that I wanted her to get my records and signed some forms and that was it. I had told old FS that I would be getting a second opinion so she knew it was coming.

AFM I had my US this morning and I have one dominant follie coming along at 16mm but my lining is only 6.6mm so hope that improves over the weekend. US again on Monday.

Hope everyone out there is having a great weekend :)

#92 Birdie11

Posted 04 February 2017 - 07:56 PM

Oh okay. I don't have any embryos to move either. And the new clinic will do all their own tests anyway they said.
I think I want to move because I'm not feeling happy either my doctor anymore.

Good news re: dominant follicle- FX for you ☺

I'm so sorry Birdie, have a great trip and hope you manage not to think about it and have a re-set. Changing clinics sounds like a very good idea if you're not 100% happy with your FS/their approach, I've seen a few ladies on these forums get much better progress/success once they switch it up. It's makes such a difference feeling happy with your care. Where are you living? PM me if you're in Sydney and interested in any recommendations on FSs here.

Ksout, I could never get proper advice on this - we BD'd for our first FET and still got BFN, but have to admit I felt a bit foolish afterwards for doing it without discussing with my FS. If you get chance to talk it through with them so they can discuss the risks/benefits with you, rather than just the black and white no from the nurses/procedures, you can make a more informed choice. I worried it could jeopardise the FET success somehow, like affect the lining or how more than one sperm can get to an egg and ruin the fertilisation, KWIM? And hope work can help take your mind off it all whilst that embie does it thing. Roll on Wednesday!!

That's great progress tryingagain - exciting - hope my system catches up! Think a transfer would be next weekend at the earliest for me (can't remember if they do weekends any more - they must do?!).

Furbaby how did your US go?

#94 furbaby

Posted 05 February 2017 - 06:11 AM

One dominant follicle at 15mm but my lining is only at 6.5mm which is big enough to transfer but I've had two fail at that size before so back for another US on Monday. Hopefully it increases and we can plan a transfer date :)

Birdie are they repeating tests or doing new ones? My new FS didn't repeat any tests but did a few more on top. Hope this new clinic works out for you!

Embryo looks like we'll be in tww together;)  always nice to have the company.

Hey Everyone

Birdie - I switched my clinic's for this round.  Our first clinic was not very nice.  Don't get me wrong they gave us our little boy but they gave no support and I felt like a waste of their time the whole process.  We had our one little frostie transferred to our new clinic.  We feel a lot better with our new clinic.  We had a heaps of new tests and bloods but we felt more like they cared.

Ksout - I have no advice at all.  I made sure I followed all the rules and every time I asked a question i was always told because we said so...not helpful at all...hence the move...but i do like your thinking :) just go with it all and see what happens.

Furbaby - my fingers are crossed for you.  I have a good feeling that your lining will increase.  Mine always increased when it was least expected.

Embryo - They are doing a natural cycle on me so I think my transfer will be Friday but in all honesty I am just in limbo land at the moment.  You never know you, me and Furbaby could be in the tww together.

AFM - I'm just waiting, waiting, waiting trying not to stress and trying to feel positive.  I swear all my non stressing is causing more stress hahahahaha

Hi birdie, we did one round at a pricey clinic with one fs which didn't work, next round we thought we would try an fs who specialises in our issue and they also consulted at a much cheaper clinic, it was looking like it was going to be a long process for us so we thought we would try the cheaper clinic for a couple of rounds and it worked first time with them (IE second cycle). There's less monitoring (I think first time I had about 6+ blood tests and 3 ultrasounds, second time I had about 3 BTs and 1 u/s which is actually much more convenient/less stressful) and instead of a phone call with results I got texts but it worked and I'm now 20 weeks. I guess it would very much depend on your individual fertility issues but I wouldn't rule out the cheaper clinics, most expensive isn't always best.

Morning all,

how did the US go Trying? I know what you mean by stressing about not being stressed

I had one this morning, lining is at 7.2mm, I'd like it to be thicker, going for fertility massage and have been taking vitamin E to see if that'll help. My dominant follicle is now at 20mm so I won't be surprised to get the call to trigger tonight.

Actually now that I look at the dates I know I'll be triggering tonight as I'm meant to have a spa day with girl friends on Saturday so this will definitely be booked at the same time as that :p

So trigger is tomorrow for ET next Monday. I get to do my spa day as well. Yay!!

Hi ladies,

Sorry I haven’t been active on here since my first post a couple of weeks ago.
I have just posted in one of the other buddy groups so apologies for those of you who will see this twice. I’ll try to reply to each of you, although some things may be out of context now that these couple of weeks have passed.

Birdie – I am so so sorry. I hope you were able to find some joy in your trip to Bali, all the best when you return for another cycle mid-year. Much love x

P.S. I changed clinics after my full cycle and then one FET. I’m so glad I did – trust your gut with this one. I was not happy with the level of care they were providing to me (they kept getting things wrong and didn’t seem to care about it). I’m so glad I moved on from them and have not looked back. Go with your gut.

EmbryoAgogo – we have 4 embryos in storage (we had 6 to start with). How about yourself? How are you tracking on your cycle (you mentioned we were on similar schedules)?

Kel – hope you have been enjoying your cruise, good luck for your FET when your cycle starts again.

Baking & Shally – I hope AF returns soon so that you can start on your cycle! All the best ladies.

Ksout – hope the cramps settled down and the transfer went well. Sending lots of baby dust x

Furbaby, Embryo and Trying again – I hope your transfers go well! Sending positive vibes and bab dust too x

An update on me… I have had 4 BTs, no u/s. Today, (according to my ovulation app I am supposed to be at the peak of my fertility window) (CD18) however I have just gotten the call from the clinic that today’s BT are still showing no sign of ovulation.
They have told me there is a high chance that my cycle will be cancelled. I am devastated.
They have told me to come back on Thursday for a BT and then they will make the call made based on those results.

I really can’t believe it. Long story, but FS and OB have agreed to only do FET in Jan, Feb or Mar (as I’m high risk and they don’t want me heavily pregnant in summer months) – so if they cancel this month that means I’ve got only one shot for the rest of the year which is why I'm so devastated.

I am so angry at myself for waiting so long to try again (4 years since my last AC cycle), I wish I would have been stronger to have been able to try a couple of years ago when DS was younger.

DH is telling me to keep positive, that things could change by Thursday but I will already be CD21 by then and I find it doubtful that they will do a FET 10 days before AF is due. (And I don’t think I would want them to considering that’s what the first clinic did, when I didn’t ovulate they gave me a booster shot and did the transfer and then I got my period 2 days after the FET).

Sorry for ending the post on a negative note. <3

Yay furbaby - thats awesome news   full steam ahead.

b0rn2love - Please dont be too hard on yourself. My whole body is crossed for you. I'm high risk as well and my transfer wont happen until my clinic gives my FS the go ahead. Im walking a tightrope at the moment. I am sending you lots of good vibes.

Im in WA so im a bit behind you guys   US went well. My lining is 11mm and there are few folicles there. One is 20mm so im pretty proud of that little guy. Im just waiting on the call from my FS to tell me what the go is.
