Not much happening here. Still feeling nauseous but thankfully no longer all day long.

Having my harmony test done tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing little Pip Squeak as they do a quick scan before the blood test and hoping the blood test results come back low risk. Feeling a little anxious about this.

Hope everyone is well.

Just realised I didn't report the official results of my combined first trimester screening. Still waiting on Harmony, that should be in any day now, but the other tests came back as low risk - 1:1200 for Trisomy 21, 1:400 for Edwards and Patau.

I have a slightly higher than normal risk for preeclampsia of 1: 126 - and I reckon my white coat hypertension triggered that particular little gem. I'm going to buy a BP monitor for home and keep a very close eye on it and keep records to show my OB. At home, it's completely normal. I don't want to be on medication if I don't need to be!

I'm at 15 weeks + 3 and still trying to hide the news until my first midwife appointment hopefully next week. I still havent received my NT scan results which were completed on 28th Dec...it seems RPA (sydney) have a backlog of pathology results to get through. I was hoping to wait for those before spreading the word...but soon my clothes won't be able to hid the growing bump! The waiting game is excruciating!

I hope everyone is going well!

Hey ladies, I am currently at 12 week mark, due very end of July and this is my very first bub so to say I'm excited / anxious would be an understatement. I have had my first scan ( Due date 29th July ) which was amazing getting to see HB, also had my harmony test done at the beginning of January so i'm ticking off the mini milestones slowly.

Due to get the results from that at the start of next week along with my next scan / check up, and I wont tell anyone else until after that. ( I cant keep anything from my sister so she knows and the fact I kept turning green at work means two of my friends at work know as-well lol )

Feeling really good this week finally mostly just a little tired and occasionally dizzy still, and unfortunately my stomach is still waging a war on garlic in all forms. Back to the gym today, trying desperately to get back into some form of a daily routine again.

Argggghhh, my Harmony test came back as no result AGAIN!

Apparently this is really rare, like, less than 1% of all the tests that lab does. My OB rang them and had a long talk with one of the geneticists.  Apparently it's just one of those things and doesn't mean that there's an increased chance of a problem. I can try for a third blood draw at 18 weeks, but there's a chance that I'll never get a result...but since I've paid my money I think I will give it another go (although I would get a refund if I asked now). If that one comes back high risk, or no result and I'm still worried, there's still time to do an amnio.

My OB was quite reassuring. Although there's never any guarantees, he said his gut feeling is that, based on the combined screen, bubs is chromosomally normal. Three years ago when these tests weren't commercially available in Australia, after getting a low risk first trimester screen we would have said everything looks good and relaxed at that point. So, that's what I'm going to try to do.

And hang out for the 20 week scan when I can find out what flavour we're having!

mezzzamy apart from the above annoyances I'm feeling mostly well.  Round ligament pain that takes my breath away when I sneeze isn't fun...

That's annoying about the NIPT kittn. I didn't know some people were susceptible to no result.

I'm 16 weeks now and SPD has kicked right in :( I'm nervous I will end up on a walking frame like my last pregnancy. I've started physio, so I hope that helps. I had a few good days after my first session, but today was back to painful. 24 weeks to go...sigh!

Nice to hear about good news coming in from latest scans, although I really feel for those that have not had good news.

Are most people getting the Harmony test?  Neither my GP nor the doctors/midwife at the hospital have mentioned this to me.

I had my NT scan yesterday which showed everything going really well.  Measuring ahead of the last scan again at 13w2d.  The risk for Down Syndrome was 1:2496 and 1:<20,000 for the others.

The specialist at the radiology place said she wouldn't recommend the Harmony test unless I was really paranoid.  She said they checked all the baby's organs and they were very happy.  What do you think?  Should I still get the Harmony test?

The lady who did our ultrasound said with the scan they can detect 80% off downs babies, with the scan and the blood test 90%, with the harmony/nipt 99%. So i guess it depends on how sure you want to be, and whether you can afford it. We couldn't justify spending that much unless the other tests came back high risk.

That sucks about your results kittn, hopefully third times the charm!?

Not much going on here, had my scan and blood test last week, all looked good on the scan so now just waiting for combined results. Was great to finally see bub. Did the gtt on the weekend so hoping i don't have gd come up again this early. Nausea has been easing finally but still vomiting and tired. Somehow i don't think the tiredness will go away this pregnancy lol. Hope everyone else is going well

Hey ladies how are we all going?

I'm 14 + 3 and have just started getting some really uncomfortable bladder pressure :( it's beyond the usual regular trips to the bathroom and instead is a real heaviness in the area, at its worst when standing

Hoping it subsides as the uterus lifts before I get to experience this again in the third trimester lol

On a positive note, I definitely feel leaps and bounds better than the first trimester which was a constant flatness

ugh kittn that is so annoying re: your test results!

hope your combined results went well Kallie88 - great to hear the scans were looking good though :)

and great stuff with your scan result Mackenzie! we haven't gone through with any further testing given our results were low risk. We're happy with where they were at

welcome EmHanson! I definitely have that excited and anxious feeling also. I always think it will settle down after I have a scan and it does for a day or two and then I'm all anxious again haha

How's the physio going TheBoss?

Hi all

Just checking in again. :)
At 15w4d today, and have had first ultrasound done (>.<) and the NIPT test.

NIPT result was that they couldn't find enough of the baby's blood in mine, so i had to get that redone last Friday.

Ultrasound... the woman didn't care that this is my first pregnancy. She was merciless in trying to get all the angles she wanted, trying to get the baby to move.  She used a fair bit of pressure on my poor belly, and while pressed down, swiped across to move my little bub!!  It friggin' hurt!!  A little warning or even explanation would have gone a long way to NOT making that appointment traumatising!!

At least the appointment with the midwives was pleasant, if a bit overwhelming with information! :)  They've asked me to do an early glucose test before the next appointment with them early next week.  My only concern with that, is having to drink something so sickly sweet, that you normally wouldn't have in any day-to-day basis, and that it could bring on the gestational diabetes? It's probably an unfounded worry, but it's a worry nonetheless. I've booked in to get that done this Friday. Fingers crossed all goes well!

I'm thankful that my constant nausea has finally passed! 1-2 weekends ago now. I finally have an appetite again! Woot!  ... 'Cept on hot days, it just evaporates again, then.  The chicken-veggie soup mum made for me last weekend has been going down a treat at lunchtimes.  Very dense and nutritious! Almost finished all the tuna-potato patties she also made. (frozen)  Scones were all but all eaten on the day they were made :D  (And yes, very thankful to my mum for coming over to cook up a storm for us.) :)

Ugh, also suffered through almost a week of bad constipation. Worst bout i've ever had. >.< Lots of water and some of those Metamucil samples did wonders.

And bubbaloo must be going through a growth spurt, been so tired the last few days.  ... And many litres of milk have been drunk in the meantime! :)

How is everyone else doing, symptoms-wise or otherwise? :)

Going well! Healthy active bub, head down and 1/5ths engaged which I have to say is not exactly comfortable.
Waiting...waiting... 3 and a half weeks until due date but maybe she'll come earlier? Maybe?
